Can't believe that when all of these comparisons are made no one has addressed public vs private. Usually most of the top programs in Ohio's biggest class are private? I know Akron Hoban, Anderson, Mentor, Massillon Washington etc are very good but it always seems many of the private schools are right there.

It varies by sport but I believe at about 600 for football.

That could be. Anderson is very good but with their weaker schedule it is hard to say with 100% conviction.

I will give you that they are a bigger school but twice the size is incorrect. Cov Cath has about 500 and Elder has 800. Highlands has about a 1,000 so I assume 1/2 boys?  This post is an excuse post with people trying to cope with the fact that Ohio just has better football teams. It was not an excuse post. An excuse is “the sun was in my eyes”. It was an explanation post. Everyone knows having 100s more boys in a school is an advantage. That’s why there is A and AA. Beating teams in a lower classification is not chest pounding time. When I see a classless post trashing ky football I’m going to explain the reality.

Sorry. I’m just butt hurt about the game. Elder looked extremely good. Hope they take state in Ohio. 

Elder is legit.  #5 is a stud.  You might want to game plan to block him.  Birds missed that memo.  I felt like Highlands went away from the run super early.  Kremer averaged 8 yards a carry.  Got the fumble recovery at Elder's 23.  Proceed to throw 3 straight times.  Sliding in a HS Football is always going to be interesting to me.  

Birds fall to 0-2 in games which they have over 30 passing attempts and games were Lorenzen has less than 10 touches( Harrison and Campbell games not included)

Couldn’t agree more!  I thought a great take away from the game is Kremer is a stud if you didn’t know that already (and only a Soph).

I said the same thing down 13-3, and we decide to just pass the ball like that’s 100% what we needed to do to get back in the game.

The killer also was the pick 6 with 2 minutes left in 2nd qtr… would love to know what Litmer saw on the attempt bc it wasn’t pretty.

Kremer is very good. I watched the first quarter so far, and I to don’t agree  with going away from the run that quick. The size on the line should be more than enough to plan on using clocking eating drives via the run.
