Just for this thread's historical sake, as we all know by now Will Stein has been hired to be the head coach at Kentucky.

It’s always tricky with college football coaches leaving, but Kiffin has mastered the art of doing so with bridge burning gear in hand. Not housewife material, as suggested.

College football's chief narcissist . Sabin sent him packing when he took the FAU job. Great call by the Ole Miss folks. I wonder how many coaches and players he poaches?? Maybe the NCAA will use this fiasco to make some needed changes.

I'd like to see a rule that if you decide to leave a school prior to their final game (regular season or playoffs, meaningless bowls would not count), none of their players can follow you. However if they fire you, players could follow you.

Maybe a one-year cooling-off period? Players ultimately commit to coaches, not Universities, so I'm not fully on board with punishing them because of how a coach chooses to leave. There is nothing ethically stopping Kiffin, et al. from adopting this practice, aside from ethics.

They probably should go a head and hire the intermin coach.

Penn State has botched this as bad as you possibly could.
