The final game of round 2 is a battle between the mighty Warhawks of Great Crossing and the tenacious Jaguars of Cooper. Great Crossing features Malachi Moreno and an impeccable record while Cooper features Andy Johnson and an already stellar season boosted by a rallying around their coach, Tim Sullivan. Great Crossing easily dispatched Daviess County in their first round game while Cooper stymied Henderson County, holding them to 35 points.

This could be a real fun way to end Friday in Rupp. Who do you have advancing to the semifinals from this one?

I think Cooper gets it done here as I think their style and defense frustrates Great Crossing. I will take Cooper by 1 in this huge upset.

Shot Clock game I have GC by 30.  High School stall game?  If they stall give me Crossing by 10-15.

Great Crossing is a very talented basketball team, but I think Cooper is getting slighted a bit by the above posters. I will gladly admit it if Cooper gets blown out in this game, but Cooper can absolutely cause problems defensively. I think this game will be close going into crunch time.

Cooper has to get more offensively. How they shot last night isn't going to cut it, that's for sure!

Well said.  I would expect GC to win, but Cooper absolutely has a chance in this one.  Andy Johnson is one of the best in the state and he's surrounded by athletes. Not to mention Sully is widely considered the best coach in the 9th.

Sully might be the best defensive coach in Ky.  That is how they win with constant intensity, cutting off passing lanes, and clogging the paint.  Jags offense is routinely ugly and Henderson County game mirrors what they are.  Going to be tough to hold Moreno off the boards while defending the perimeter, too.  Jags have a fighter’s chance, but only if Johnson brings his A game.

You've obviously never seen a true stall ball game if you think Cooper plays stall ball.

Also if anyone is interested, this could be Coach Sullivan's last game:

Just a little bit too much Moreno in this one.  Great Crossing pulls this one out 52-44.

I definitely don’t know what they play I just think GC willl blow the doors off unless it’s a very prolonged offensive possession game - I.e. stall ball.  I can be wrong it won’t be the first time.

10 all 202 left in the first, media timeout.
