This should be one of the better games in the first round of the tournament. As the #9 Creighton Blue Jays (24-10) will take on the #8 Louisville Cardinals (27-7) in Lexington KY. This game time is at 12:15 on Thursday, March 20th. The winner gets the #1 overall seed the Auburn Tigers. Most feel (myself included) the Cards go too low of a seed most thought it deserved a #5 or #6 seed at the worst. The Cards can use this slight as motivation and make a run. Go Cards!!

Hopefully Louisville comes out firing on all cylinders and fired up. They know that they were disrespected even more than we do. I am sure Kelsey will have them ready to go. If they get past Creighton, I seriously believe they could go on a deep run. GO CARDS!!!

There is nothing about the Louisville seed that makes sense. Especially when seeing how Clemson got a 5 seed. Louisville beat Clemson twice, finished higher in the regular season standings, made it further in ACC tournament. They are literally right next to each other in NET rankings. Yet Clemson got a 5 seed and Louisville an 8. It’s almost like the committee accidentally flipped these two teams. It just doesn’t make much sense.

First game of the entire tournament. (Non “play-in” editions)

This could be a great first round game. Winner of this game absolutely can win in round 2.

The way Auburn has played as of late I believe so too. Auburn is not the overall #1 seed right now.

Both Louisville and Creighton can shoot it well enough to beat Auburn. I don't know if Creighton has the athleticism to compete. Louisville probably does.

Cards need to use the 8 as motivation and not get distracted.  I think they do that and pick up a somewhat comfortable win.

Cards 76

Creighton 75

The committee must not put much weight into head-to-head match-ups.  Louisville's 4-6 record in Quad 1 must have cost them.  That said, I agree that they should have been closer to Clemson's seed.  Clemson seems to be 1 seed too high and Louisville seems to be 1 seed too low.

56-37 Creighton in the second half.
