What does that ratings you post annually say about this year? Something about teams in the top 20 in both offensive and defensive efficiency.

Reports that McNeese Coach Will Wade has agreed to become the coach at NC State. He will finish the season with McNeese.

Kinda curious timing, I'd have waited until I was out of the tournament and not distract from my current team.

Double-edged sword. If he doesn't say anything, he'll be asked "are you going here?" or "are you going there?" a million times. Maybe by going ahead and making the decision, one everyone expected anyway, it clears away distractions and the questions that come with.

Plus, transfer portal opens next week. Kinda let's potential transfers know what's going on.

The last 2 play in game winners were Mount St. Mary’s and Xavier who came from behind to beat Texas.  The SEC is the first power conference to lose a team from the Tournament. 

I really enjoyed the Xavier Texas game. X showed serious grit and toughness coming from behind for the win. I won't rule out XU upsetting Illinois.

Tre Johnson for Texas is a beast, but he gone. Lottery pick, probably top 5.

As a Kentucky fan, it didn't hurt my feelings at all to see Texas (but more so Johnson) eliminated before any potential matchup with the Wildcats.

The portal needs to open after everyone is finished playing.  Same for football.

That's a GOOD loss for Texas... They were probably under-seeded based on that result.

I also picked Xavier over Illinois. The trend in college basketball is experience beats talent. Illinois definitely more talented than XU but XU has experience.

Who are your upset picks in round 1?

I don't pick many upsets in my bracket. The ones I have this year are Utah St., Xavier, Vandy and (please don't ask me why) Arkansas. I was very tempted to pick Akron and UNC.

Fun season, Louisville wasn't ready and Creighton was.
