I'm so confused trying to think how this would play out in TK's favor..many reasons why it can and can't. I think the biggest hurdle could be some type of appeal process making it take too long for him to play this year. Next year I think he would be good.

Postseason participants must be designated from the freshmen, junior varsity or varsity rosters, which are maintained through ArbiterSports website through the year.

Roster revisions must be made before the first date of the postseason when online rosters are closed and considered final.

Schools must log into their AbiterSports page and designate their postseason roster, which is separate from the regular-season varsity roster.

Only players appearing on the school’s postseason roster as of the first date of the postseason are eligible to participate in any round.

No additional players may be added to the roster following that deadline, including those teams that advance to the state tournament.

The online, postseason roster may be printed from the KHSAA website as the valid listing of available players.

I don't think this right here makes it impossible at all depending when they submit their post season roster.

If they waited this long to submit their post season roster I would be shocked. But the timeline with RWE just getting eliminated is interesting.

Is it possible? What is OTE considered? Is it a camp and he was basically being home since their curriculum and classes were all online. 

Ok so I am hearing some rumors about this and realize there may be some movement to see if he is eligible.  I posted in bold below one of the lines.  I am making the assumption that the statement "first date of the postseason" means by the first day of district play in the state of Kentucky.  That would have been Sunday 02/23/25.  Now I am second guessing myself.  Does this mean the first day of play in that district - which in this case was yesterday 02/24/25 or does it mean the first day Newport plays which would be tomorrow 02/26/25.  The fact that eligibility has been inquired about really makes me feel that perhaps that it might be one of the last two options as far as roster submission.  Can anyone clarify this?

I still see this as a no go even with this as TK's team lost Sunday and to fill out all the paperwork, get on the roster and get eligible by the state is a massive undertaking in a 24-48 hour window.

If this actually happens, it shows you what an absolute sham the whole process is.

Update On New News:

Newport Superintendent shut it down. But apparently Tay would still like to enroll at Newport. 

If I am Newport, Kinney is already on my postseason roster.

Didn’t Kinney get money to go play basketball this year?  If so, how could he be eligible?  Is the away from home experiment over?

Kentucky needs to make some revisions if this was even remotely possible. I highly doubt it would be but for future instances it shouldn’t even be a consideration.

Yes, lots of good district games.  Holy Cross/ Beechwood,  I call it a toss up, wish this district would just keep all district games at Holmes,so much more comfortable.  Also Conner/ Ryle a toss up, good luck to all teams, I also think NC/Highlands could be a decent game.

I'll be honest - if I'm Coach Snapp I'm really happy I don't have to play in the 2/3 game because it will be nice to have a week separation from this rumor starting before playing in an elimination game against tough competition. 

I am becoming more and more bullish on NCC upsetting Highlands. 

I am also interested in what you think on Beechwood vs. Holy Cross @Baseball Nut 24 now that Jack Sullivan is out for the rubber match. Will the home environment keep the Tigers in it?
