Hearing a coach from Georgia with local ties is applying for this job!

That scenario sounds familiar.

Interesting! Do you know his name? You can PM me if you don't want to post it. Wouldn't mind doing some research.

That's bold to say many of these teams didn't have a pulse.  I'm surprised their fan bases let you get away with such blanket statements.

For one, you picked the best six teams out of that gigantic list, while conveniently ignoring the rest. ?

Now, which of the teams you just highlighted did SK beat in the playoffs?

None?

Thanks for playing.

As CWB said, SK has made a living fattening up on lower class teams, beating their chests over those wins, and flaming out in the playoffs. You asked for evidence, we gave it to you.

This is the exact order in which the post were made.  But keep saying it with such confidence...  You literally jumped in on my rebuttal to his post.

Fair enough. I'm more than willing to admit I was mistaken about your "teams with a pulse" comment. Deuce had made that comment prior in this thread, you're right.

But still, you challenged my point that Simon Kenton schedules a "whole bunch of teams from smaller and lower-classed schools to fill out their non-district schedule" and I showed you that more than 50% of their non-district regular schedule in the last dozen regular seasons have been made up by teams from smaller and lowe-classed schools. You asked me to give you the names of teams other than Trinity that they've been unable to consistently beat, and I named four lower-classed teams that they've been winless against in the last dozen years. And your response to that: crickets.

I highlighted the teams that played in or won the state championship that year. The list of all the good teams from those years would be much larger. Your old tired attempts of bashing SK is played out and just puts down other really good football programs in the process.

You asked for a list of teams from smaller classes that SK played, because you didn't believe it happened. I provided that. Now you're lashing out and deflecting because it was proven that SK has in fact scheduled a ton of lower class teams over the years.

Regardless of caliber, 6A teams should not make a habit of playing lower classed teams. Simon Kenton always has, and their post-season lack of success is a direct result of it. If you're upset that we call it out, I can't help you.

Maybe SK should take a look at what Fredrick Douglass did and how they reached the top...

No I asked for you to list "the teams without a pulse".  I'm smart enough to know its about the caliber of the players on the field and not how many Billies and Susans are sitting in the school building.

Since you are hung up on only the size of the school

Simon Kenton record versus just 6A teams from "over the years"

2013-6-1

2014 5-2 ..... lost to Dixie in Regional Finals (Dixie state Finals)

2015- 10-1 ..... lost to Lafayette in the State Semis (Lafayette State Finals)

2016- 8-2.... lost to Lafayette in Regional Finals (Lafayette State Finals)

2017- 9-2.... lost to Trinity in Regional Finals (Trinity State Champs)

2018-9-1......lost to Scotty County in Regional Finals (Scott County State Finals)

2019--6-1

"Maybe SK should take a look at what Fredrick Douglass did and how they reached the top..."

Do you mean start a school that can pull athletes from the entire metropolitan area of Lexington? Seems doable for all the NKY teams.

The KHSAA rules are the same for all schools and all schools can take students from anywhere they want, in state or out of state.  If a school "can't do it" it is only because that school system made their own local rule not to do so.  Again everyone, the KHSAA rules are the SAME for all Kentucky high schools.

What were the records for these other 6A teams?

Agreed. Jefferson and Fayette County schools allow for some form of open enrollment.  Jefferson County and Fayette counties are not similar in terms of enrollment to Boone, Kenton, and Campbell Counties. So its impossible to look at one football team and tell them to do what Fredrick Douglas did.

So according to this, SK played

2013-7-6A schools

2014-7-6a schools

2015-11- 6a schools

2016-10- 6a schools

2017-11- 6a schools

2018-10- 6a schools.

I am trying to follow all these teams and someone's info is misleading.

According to the KHSAA Jefferson, Fayette, Boone, Kenton, Campbell, and the 115 other counties in Kentucky can accept any student they want to accept so attempting to parse this by county is ambiguous and in my opinion misleading.

Again everyone, the KHSAA says anyone can go to any school.  The problem comes in when public schools decide to start adding their own restrictions and then crying foul.

This is my point. He said SK and I'm assuming all of us other NKY 6A teams should take a look at what Fredrick Douglas did.  I'm not exactly sure how all the school boards up here make decisions but I'm sure those decisions aren't made by the parents of the JV back up center or the head football coach.

No, you asked for the smaller schools that they filled their schedule with.

But since you brought up the caliber of players... What was the caliber of players for Pulaski County, Holmes, Conner, Bullitt Central, Taylor County, etc.?

As for FD, they decided to schedule tougher teams and it paid off in a State Championship for them.

Games played including playoffs.  SK played some teams in playoffs and the regular season.
