I wonder if Dave Brossart will apply for this job.

Sounds like a good hire. Although I here it will probably be handed to a current coach on the staff. Praying it is an outside hire.

If a current coach on the team probably Chad Lawrence.

That would be a long shot, not much Varsity experience. Not sure what his role on the staff has been out there the last 3 years but I think that's all of his varsity experience.

He has been freshman and middle school head coach past year he helped coach JV and I believe qb coach this year for the past few seasons.

100% confirmed. He announced it to the players yesterday.

Or are you asking from an in-house candidate vs outside candidate perspective?

He told his coaches Friday night and the players yesterday.

I just hope whoever it is, focuses on creating a true development program. I have 2 sons that play for SK. My oldest just finished his JR year.

Since he has been there, Fr,JV, and V have practiced together. In my opinion, and it doesn't matter much, that stumps young player's growth. There is only so many reps someone can get in practice when you have 100+ players in a 2 1/2 or 3 hour practice. The levels need to be segregated with freshman having their own practice vs JV/V practice.

That's been the biggest problem over the last few years.

I agree.  I can't think of any reason for the freshmen to practice with the varsity in a 6A school.  Maybe on a special occasion but that is it.

Hopefully they don't look to CVG to fill this role, way too many touchdowns over there.

Word on the street a Ryle coach might be the new head coach.

I wonder if Bryson Warner would be interested in this job.

Not to bring something else up, but why did he leave beechwood? Would he even consider Simon Kenton?

I wonder if @MaddenCurse44 would be ok with that? If I remember correctly, you aren’t much of a Ryle fan right now.
