I had someone ask me this week if I am picking Highlands by three touchdowns or more because Anderson County played with Woodford for three quarters.  No, I am picking Highlands by three touchdowns or more because like @CoachStew alluded to, Dixie played right with Woodford in the first half.

I would say yes, but it’s not dependable sometimes. He has a lot of technical malfunctions sometimes.

Just hoping for an injury free game for both teams.  Go Birds!!!

In this state, there are two major categories, teams that play football, and teams that eat, sleep, breathe, and live football. Highlands is one of those programs that live football!

I thought the Dixie game would be much closer last week and it was early with Woodford pulling away late. Athletically Woodford has amazing athletes, but that only gets you so far when you are playing a team that plays high-caliber football.

I think we find out two things this week

Is Woodford a true contender for a state championship?

How can Highlands handle speed and athleticism?

I think this will be a close game early and the Bluebirds hit another gear after the half. I am unsure if the Jackets can withstand 4 quarters of physical football. If Woodford can find a way to pull out this win they would be my sleeper pick to win this year.  

Let’s go Bird’s.   Stay focused.
