I think Woodford is playing better than they were early and the game is at Woodford. We will see.

Round 3 is based on RPI rankings of remaining schools in your half of the state. Round 4 is RPI rankings of 4 remaining schools, regardless of which half of the state.

Old man’s recollection needed confirmation so I looked up his bio on UK site.  Somewhat accurate.  Played varsity football 8 years (2nd & 3rd grades which motivated KHSAA to change requirements) then lettered 7-12 grades.  Won shotput, discus and triple jump state championships, regional high jump only.  All Regional basketball 3 years plus too many state and national football awards to mention.  Rumor is he will be playing DE this Friday.

That's true! Remember sitting by Alvis, Mrs. Johnson, and Dennis and his brother at Rupp during state tournament when they were little guys. They put a hit on the soft serve lol. Very nice family.

Highlands would have to have a catastrophic breakdown in the secondary to lose this game. Woodford would have to play lights out and also find a way to run the ball to win it. It’s no secret my team (Dixie) wasn’t very good this year. Be it injuries, inexperience, and lack of depth at key spots, we just weren’t. We were one of the worst in 5A in passing defense and it took Woodford two really nice diving catches at the goal line/end zone and a scramble drill TD to get a comfortable lead on us. Highlands doesn’t have the personnel issues we at Dixie had this season. Highlands wins this game comfortably. 

I’m taking Highlands 42-21.
