Catholic will running clock everyone. The only school with a punchers chance is Beechwood. But this year Catholic road to state will not have a challenge.

The first 4 rounds will be Catholic by at least 40. Then in the Championship it will be Owensboro Catholic by 21.

Nostradamus.

Also, do you think Barren County is, who is #2 in 6-A RPI is better then Trinity #7. Heck no, and their schedule isn't tougher. It's a flawed formula. PERIOD.  Is Boyle Co really 4th in 4-A RPI?

Getting ahead of the gun a little since the new RPI numbers aren't posted. Mayfield up to #2 this week, Beechwood to #3 and Murray to #4. Mayfield now looks locked in at #2 as they will win this comin

Catholic is good no doubt but to say is they can’t be beat is funny. That is why they play the games.

Does this mean likely semi-state matchup is beechwood at mayfield and lca at Owensboro Catholic

This bracket has your first two rounds: https://scoreboard.12dt.com/scoreboard/khsaa/kyfb24/tournament_223002

So Owensboro Catholic will likely host Murray in round 2.

Round 3 gets seeded in each half of the state - RPI in the west and RPI in the east.

Likely round 3 matchups using RPI:

WEST

Monroe County at Owensboro Catholic

LCA at Mayfield

EAST

Martin County at Beechwood

Somerset at Prestonsburg

Some over confidence with a few on OC…….a little over month will determine if OC is that good or not.

I like where LCA, Beechwood and Mayfield are at as well.

I’d like to see OC’s record if they played the teams LCA played early in the season.

He’s not an OC FAN.

Umm I’m not an OC fan! Everyone knows I’m a Beechwood fan.

I was referring to the person that was being over confident on OC.

Correct. If I'm not mistaken, he is an Owensboro High School fan. OC fans are cautiously optimistic - definitely not overconfident.

I may not be an OC fan and I love the Red Devils, but let's be honest.... OC's path to the state finals was a slaughtering and beating teams by 40 last year. I don't see anything changing. I'm for anyone in Owensboro winning a championship. I hope they do. I didn't know people from Catholic would be upset with this prediction.

I might be a little too optimistic with the Championship game score but the city is due for a title.

Like I said before that is why they play the games! Beechwood, LCA and Mayfield all have very good teams who could win it this year! OC might win it but they won’t blowout any these teams. Beechwood imo has the best offense in 2a. I really don’t know that much about LCA or Mayfield but I have watched them both play they have very very good teams.

OC will have a cakewalk to the Championship game. Those types of games can sometimes hurt a team, not being tested and all. Lots of teams have been the overall favorite and not gotten it done. Mayfield, Beechwood and LCA have all had that distinction. As the saying goes "don't count your chickens till your chickens hatch".

I know your not an OC Fan, I was referring to the others feeling OC will walk easily into the Championship and win no problem without being tested.

Path to the finals likely the same results this year. What happened in the finals last year? Owensboro Catholic will face the same level of challenge. Yes, they are the favorite to win it, but the title game will be a battle and arguably the best team they will face all year.
