      Also, do you think Barren County is, who is #2 in 6-A RPI is better then Trinity #7. Heck no, and their schedule isn't tougher. It's a flawed formula. PERIOD.  Is Boyle Co really 4th in 4-A RPI?

      Getting ahead of the gun a little since the new RPI numbers aren't posted. Mayfield up to #2 this week, Beechwood to #3 and Murray to #4. Mayfield now looks locked in at #2 as they will win this comin

    I think most of drama this year will again be Beechwood, Mayfield and the addition of Murray. Owensboro Catholic is going to be #1. I don't see any way for Lexington Christian to get higher than the #4 seed. Their district is terrible for RPI and their last game of the year against Raceland is not going to get them enough points.

    It is going to be a battle to the wire between Beechwood, Mayfield and Murray for the #2 seed. Mayfield and Murray should gain on Beechwood through district play. Then the winner of the Mayfield Murray game the second to last game of the year could very well put the winner within striking distance of Beechwood. Then the last week of the year Mayfield plays a 6A team and Murray plays a 5A team with a winning record. Beating the higher class team will be big points in KHSAA RPI. It is going to be an interesting watch.

    Just seeing this. 

    Catholic will have to play the loser of Murray/Mayfield in 2nd round. Then in the Semi it could be LCA. Prestonburg wins out they will be put #3.

    There is a look at the top teams over the past three weeks. You can see that a loss is huge hit to RPI as a team gets zero points. You can see a win over a higher class school is big points, even if the opponent has a bad record. Murray moved from #6 to #3 beating winless 6A Christian County and gained .035. LCA beat winless 3A Lexington Catholic the same week and actually lost points despite getting a win. This week Beechwood beat 1 win Gallatin County and lost .036.

    The big takeaway in this is Murray and Mayfield play higher class teams the last week of the year. They will pick up some good points the last week.

    Murray/Mayfield in 2nd round, but I don't think Catholic will have to play LCA in 3rd round. Doesn't Green Co or Metcalfe Co. play each other in 2nd round. The winner of that will be probably be the lower RPI seed and play OCath.

    If LCA/OCath do play it will be in the Semi Finals if the RPI was done today, but there is a lot of football left in the season.

    Can North Hardin beat Owensboro Catholic? That is the only way anyone has a chance to catch them. If they finish undefeated, Owensboro Catholic will be #1 in KHSAA RPI.
