Which team is #1 in Kentucky, Boyle County or Trinity?

I wasn't impressed with St. Edwards to be honest I watched the game. St. Edwards is a great program, but they aren't the same team they have been the past couple of years.

Not being impressed with St. Edward is likely in part because of what Boyle did to them. St. Edward beat the number one team in Pennsylvania 35-21 and was up 35-7 at one point the previous week. A team that had an Ohio State RB, Marvin Harrison's son, and a few other high level D1 kids.

At the end of the day, no one else has Quisenberry. Ask the #12 team in the nation about him. And Brown is also better than most any offensive player in the state.    There are lots of other th

  • Well that should settle that!

  • How about we settle this by switching games the last game of the season.  Boyle can play Trinity while Frederick Douglass takes on Oldham County!!!

Antonio Harris will have something to say about that, and Male doesn't use him on  defense as because he is playing QB. Sowells #72 who plays OL/ played played DL the end of the 3rd qtr and 4th qtr against St.X and recorded 3 sacks So he may be the best OL/DT in the state of KY.

He's not being playing QB as much as you'd think, plus you can make the argument that Quisenberry has out performed him at QB. Plus it's a fair argument to make that Quisenberry has played against better competition this far

Harris - 2 of 6 for 45 yds, 16 carries for 225 yds and 4 TDs, 4 receptions for 103 yds 2 TDs

Quisenberry - 2 of 2 for 89 yds passing 1 TD, 34 carries for 249 yds 5 TDs, 11 receptions for 169 yds 1 TD

Elder plays St Edwards this Friday and then plays Louisville St. X next Friday seeing how those games go might allow us to get a better gage at how Boyle and Male might stack up.

Also Elder plays Cinci St X that trinity also plays so we'll be able to look at that too.

If you want to make the case that Boyle is the best in the state, go right ahead. You'd have a solid argument.

You can also make the case that beating St. Edwards, while overall a big statement for Kentucky HSFB, is not the crowning achievement that some think it is as well.

Both arguments can co-exist, and one isn't more right than the other. Trinity and Boyle County don't play each other, so any declaration about who is the better team is speculation and opinion.

Male had a nice overtime win again X. They are not at all in Boyle's league. I would say Boyle probably running clocks Male in the 1st half. I watched BG scrimmage Male and it was a complete massacre by BG.

Males seems to be figuring things out... but come on.

???

Male's next game is against Trinity so will learn more about both those teams as far as the conversation of who is best in state. We can see how St. Edward does the rest of the season which I'm sure they will do well.

Is there a reason Boyle and Trinity never play each other? Is this a matchup that we could see in the future?

A RC Cola in the first half is a bit much to me. I don't think Male is #1 by any means.. But that's something that I would have to see to believe.

4. No recruiting comments or allegations of KHSAA rules violations by any school, coach, player or booster are allowed. No comments about where any player lives, has lived, or where they are from in a recruiting context. This is not the place to report KHSAA violations. Feel free to contact Kentucky High School Athletic Association | KHSAA – Student-athletes of Today, Leaders of Tomorrow to report such violations, but do not discuss violations here.

Agreed on all points.

There have been a couple of times that I am aware of that the two talked (or at least one did).  In both cases I think scheduling proved impossible for either team.

I'll take Boyle in any matchup until someone proves they can beat them. Maybe not the most compelling argument, but that is what I got.

I saw St. Edward took another loss in Ohio. Seems Boyle sent them into a tail spin. Lol.
