I’ve been to it at Diddle, BC and ACHS. BC is the best atmosphere for it when it’s NOT BG and WC. Like you said, until that can change there’s no reason to move it. I really do feel that BC could have a 94ft court easily. There is plenty of room on each end for 10 more ft. I know that’s not a “must” but it could be done.

This is the bane of new gymnasium design. I see it at almost every new school. It's almost like the architect has never sat in the upper deck of a high school game.

As far as Pulaski goes I think they could improve things if they'd open a second concession area in the flat space at the end of the gym or in the hall where you come in from the lower parking lot.  I think they'd actually sell more concessions if people didn't have to wait in line.  

I might also help if they had a couple of golf carts to shuttle older folks up from the lower parking lot.

Agree, and the schools are handcuffed on what they can build now. I've heard the new Christian Co. school will only be allowed to hold 3000-3500. I'm sure the upper part will be the same.

Mayfield has gym that holds around 5000. Only Graves and Marshall and Mayfield in the 1st region have the seating capacity to hold a Regional Championship.

My experiences with the capacity seating that gyms have posted on their walls or in media guides is that they are inflated.

I've always interpreted them as "fire marshal" numbers more than actual seats.

Yes. I hadn’t thought of that. 

Where can one find the seating capacity for the gyms?  I would think Otis Dinning Gym has sufficient capacity but I could be wrong.

I remember when the 9th used to rotate between Ryle, Holmes and Conner.   All were great capacity wise but for parking purposes, Ryle was always the best.

3200 according to the KHSAA website.

I remember back in the mid-to-late 90's when Marshall VS Graves could fill up the gym at Marshall or the Eagles' nest alone. I haven't been back that way in years, but I hear they don't even open the upper wing at Graves anymore. It's sad what's happened to the environment at HS sporting events. 

With the attendance the 16th had this season, there are a few gyms that could have hosted. 

Mayfield or Graves County is the most central location in the 1st Region, parking is not really good at Mayfield. The visitors side at Graves are wooden foldout bleachers that are very uncomfortable. Rest rooms are not really great in size.
