The SEC leading Crimson Tide of Alabama (19-7) (11-2) travel to Lexington to take on the Cats of Kentucky (18-8) (8-5) on Saturday. The game is on CBS at 4:00pm. The Tide is coming off a hard fought OT win at home on Wednesday night vs. Florida where they came back from a 10 point 2nd half deficit. The Cats are coming off a disappointing 75-74 loss on the road at LSU where they gave up 48 2nd half points and lost a 15 point lead. The Cats will need to play the type of defense they played in Auburn to get the win. The Tide they are averaging a 103 points in their last 3 wins which included a 109 point game at LSU on February 10th. Go Cats!!

UK loses this game and the natives may burn down the city, Calipari has to be feeling the heat.  UK has been mediocre at best for a while now and in Lexington, that can only last so long.

How long is a while?

Maybe mediocre by this fake UK golden standard that needs to die off now that NIL and the Transfer Portal have taken over and massively changed the game of college basketball. I'm growing tired of the "But this is Kentucky Basketball". Those people will never consistently be happy following Kentucky Basketball ever again.

UK is far from a "mediocre" under Calipari, even currently.

I think Alabama is actually a decent matchup with Kentucky.  They seem to only have a passing interest in playing defense, and UK can defintely score.  Every time I have thought UK was going in the tank so far this year, they have come up with a good game.  Wildcats 92-88.

Alabama will be missing two players from the rotation today in Mo Wague and Latrell Wrightsell. Wague is serving a 1 game suspension for an elbow he threw in the first half of their game on Wednesday vs. Florida and Starter Latrell Wrightsell is suffering from an injury and did not in the Florida game last Wednesday.

The Cats looks to be without Tre Mitchell again with the shoulder injury.
