Like the Vandy game today.

Personally I blame Digger Phelps. He starts taking up for UK and look what happens.

Nice to hear from some of you guys again... Hadn't heard from you in a couple of months, wasn't sure where you'd gone. Good to see that when UK loses, you're still in full force.

 

What good is cheering for a team when the only time you'll ever talk about them is when you have something critical to say? Doesn't it get old after a while not being able to enjoy wins because you're just waiting for that next loss? I can't imagine it being much fun.

 

As for the game... Tough loss... A series of sloppy turnovers at one point where it looked like UK could take the momentum and the lead... Perry threw it away once and Crawford dribbled it off his foot and out of bounds and that really kept Vandy alive... A couple of baskets on those posessions and 'mo' is in their favor and this game could've been won.

 

Alas, it wasn't. Nothing to cry about... Moving on to Georgia...

You know UK might not have played that well but I think that we will overcome the loss and we will be OK once the EXTREMELEY HARD part of our SEC conference play comes in. I expect us to AT LEAST split the games with Tennessee and Florida. This loss might have been good for us because it shows us that we shouldnt have been in the top 25 and that we need to improve on alot of things.

The parody in college basketball now is something that keeps things like this happening. True, this may be Kentuckys only loss to a non top 25 team this season, but run down the rest of the top 25, even top 10 and see how they have faired this season. Kansas losing to Oral Roberts just being one of many examples. This day and age no one will go undefeated in a season, and when you don't show up, you can't just get by with the name on your chest. This is what happened today IMO. Too over confident after the drumming in Columbia, Im sure the boys' lagged in practice and expected to do the same to a Commodore team who surely couldn't beat UK three in a row???? Like said you must want it every game due to the parody in college basketball, and with things such as exams, girls, practice, and keggers, you will never see a college basketball team be focused for every game on the schedule.

 

I agree with many that have argued me in the past by the many posters who seem to come out of the closet only after a loss. I do not think it is fair to the program and other fans out there who are soley dedicated in wanting success for our program, not just the hope and glee of failure. I'll admit and have admitted in the past I am not a Tubby Smith fan, never have been never will be. I have always said he was an excellent teacher of the game, and good at getting the most out of player who aren't as talented as others. However, game type situations, recruiting, among other things are his weakness. I'm not a coach or do not claim to be, however, I felt that we stayed in the 2-3 for way too long after Vanderbilt started to get hot from outside. Our man to man D was very good, but we didn't go to it enough. I also thought the substitutions in this game were a little questionable, but these things happen when trying to give certain guys breathers. However, a Smith fan or not, I am still a loyal fan to the overall team and wish big things, that is why the decline in the program bothers me at times, and no one person is to blame for this.......like said it all falls back to parody in college basketball, missing on recruits, tough breaks, and some growing pains along the way. I don't think a loss to Vanderbilt is worth five pages of dissing our program, I mean 10 years ago this type of thing didn't happen, but its not that our program has changed as much as it is college basketball has changed. We can get over it and still grow as a team, the bottom line is we have to show up and play each and every game, that is the difference between the SC game and Vandy game. ..........bottomline

I paid my membership to BGP just as you and the "bashers" did and therefore I can get on here only when they lose if I want. I can diss the program, the coach or whatever I want to diss. Thicken your skin and learn to deal with us "bashers", we'll be here for a while...And that's the Bottom Line! And that goes for the rest of you basher bashers.

Well, you sure don't merit yourself a good reputation just bashing a program like this. That goes for any program.

I was most disapointed with UK's best three players, they pretty much laid an egg (Crawford, Bradley, and Morris). And defensively they were wretched.

 

Watching Crawford the last two and a half years, we all know he does not have the greatest bball IQ and best long range shot. However, he went 4 games stroking the three well and I fear it will take him out of what he can do best.

I used basher because that's what I've been labled on here. I challenge you to check my posts and find where I've bashed the program. Other than one "Cats Suck" comment that was sarcasm to ruffle some feathers, I have not bashed the coach or the program. I don't know what you guys would say if I actually bashed. Give a Pig a break. OINK!

Tough loss for the Cats. Vandy even with some of their previous wins are not garnering any respect. They diid a good job defensively by taking Morris out of his normal game and by doing this crippled the key to UK's offense. Hope the Cats can put this loss behind them and move on.

I've seen Vandy play 4 times this season, and that was by far their best defensive effort.
