Trinity (10-3) will host Frederick Douglass(8-4) after defeating McCracken County 45-0. Frederick Douglass travels to Trinity after defeating Male 21-20.

In the first matchup where Frederick Douglass won 17-14, it was on a hot Saturday afternoon due to being moved because of Friday night storms. Frederick Douglass dominated on defense for 3 quarters getting a pick 6 and shutting out the Shamrock offense leading 17-0. Trinity changed to freshman QB Zane Johnson and mounted a comeback scoring 14 in the 4th quarter but Frederick Douglass held on for the win.

In the first matchup Frederick Douglass had several penalties and last night had several penalties against Male but still were able to get the win.

A lot has changed since the first matchup especially the weather. This looks to be another competitive game and I expect another low scoring game as both teams have great defenses. Who wins this and gets to Kroger field to play for a championship against either Bryan Station or Ballard?

I don't see the Rocks losing at home twice to the same team.

Rock are a totally different team now vs the 1st game and have been playing at a high level lately. 1st game had a weird feeling on a Saturday afternoon. This is the playoffs at home and a payback game at that.  I think Trinity will rise to the occasion.

One play was the difference in the first game. I imagine this will be another slug fest.

It will be a close and physical game. I think Trinity takes it this time around, good luck to both teams. And this is for the 6A state championship in my opinion.

Who ever has the most rushing yards wins this game. Not a crazy hot take, but when push comes to shove both teams want to lean on their run game.

Lol! You all picking Rocks do not watch HS football.. if you don’t think FD is going to bear down on Trinity you are sadly mistaken. Watch the first meeting, it took a bad FD O performance, a fluke tipped TD onside kick to get the game even close, “lots of penalties” it was classic Louisville hosing. & if you don’t think FD is better now than they were then you’d be wrong

Trinity definitely hasn’t improved.

Based on talent FD should win by 3 or 4 TDs.  They have 6-7 D1 players and I don’t think T has one. 
On the other hand, it’s hard to pick against T on a second time around at home.

I like Rocks by two TD's in this one at home.  Freddy D has a lot to be proud of, and they have endured a brutal schedule, but I think asking them to beat Trinity twice in one year in Louisville is a bridge too far.
