This is the conference suspending him and basically doing it just because the other schools banded together about it.

NCAA told Big 10 they had enough evidence to charge, they played a huge part.

It looks like every though all courts were closed today in celebration of Veterans Day it looks like about 20 minutes ago that the Univ. of Michigan Coach Harbaugh has sued the Big 10 Conference and commissioner Tony Petitti in Washtenaw County Michigan. They are demanding a TRO that would bar the conference of imposing their penalty on Harbaugh. It will be interesting to see if a judge will come and grant this TRO. I would say the chances are pretty good that will happen in Michigan.?

Kinda like the FBI helping investigate a case, uncovering evidence of a crime, and letting local police have the case.

Bottom line, there is a rule against what they were doing. They got caught red-handed breaking that rule, they should take there punishment.

Just breaking the TRO that Harbaugh and Michigan was trying to get before their game today at Penn State will not be heard until Friday, Nov. 17th at 9:00am.

I believe the term is “institutional control”.

I call them the Big COVID Conference after the year they played about 7 games but Ohio State got a playoff bid.

This just seems to have major lawsuit on behalf of Jim Harbaugh written all over it. Just seems like there was little if any due process involved. We

Is Michigan docking his pay for the 3 games?

Average (non-sports) fan jury member might look at it as, he's given three days off work but still got paid...where are the damages? Especially if they win the games.

True and knew that, wasn’t thinking as quickly as my fingers were. The Big Ten is the joke.

I think he sues for punitive damages to his reputation. Sounds crazy I know, but would not shock me. Still wonder about due process.

If I'm the opposing attorney my first questions to Harbaugh would be, "Were you suspended earlier in the year and missed the first three games for NCAA Violations? And wouldn't you think your reputation already is pretty bad after that?"

This is basically a pre penalty.  The NCAA moves so slow that nothing will happen until after the season.  The Big Ten commish was basically told by the other schools, "hey, you gotta do something".  He probably expected the suspension to be overturned by the courts, but he can say that he did something.

Call me naive, uninformed or call me anything you like, but what is the difference in learning their signs as opposed to watching films and learning their formations, lineups, tendencies and whatever else helps tip you off to what they are doing?  I remember in 1990 when CCH played Lloyd.  The coach at Lloyd coached at CCH a year before.  Their signals, offense, defense, cadence and audibles were the exact same as ours.  We knew exactly what was coming.  I understand that's somewhat different, not terribly far.
