South Oldham makes the trek to Fort Thomas for the opening round of the 5A playoffs.

The Dragons come into the matchup at 6-4 overall and 1-3 in their district.

The Birds have been rolling coming into the playoffs, albeit with little competition to end the season. The Birds are looking to put together a long playoff run that hopefully ends with taking home trophy number 23 from Kroger Field in early December. 

What are you looking for in this matchup?

Would be #24….Still a lot of Football still to be played.

That would have been a very small minority that like to post on social media. The staff has done an amazing job and the program is in a better place from top to bottom. Brick by brick. Doing it the right way.

Yeah very small minority. People don't like change. Change makes the weak uncomfortable.

I don’t recall that. I remember some asking if this was a make or break year. I think anyone who was on the side saying that it shouldn’t take more than 3 yrs to “rebuild” at Highlands, we’re all still hoping for, and expecting, the best. Myself included. I think the team today is a completely different version of what it was to start the season, no question. It’s been great to see them come around to going under center more and committing to the run game in a more traditional sense, instead of everything out of shotgun and the spread. That’s what people wanted to see, and now have. It’s paid dividends. There is still more to be settled on the field but they are definitely where I and many others hoped and expected. Job well done.
