I would expect a UK offer in the next few weeks for Benke!

What position do you think he projects to in college?

He's not a college QB, IMO.

TE?

"Best" is such a difficult definition in HS football these days because College "projection" does not always line up with just how good the kid is.  Plus, its really hard to compare across position gr

I saw the Woodford offer today, but didn’t Mount Union offer him over the summer? Congrats either way.

Precisely. Has done well on both sides of the ball. Benke benefits from having a really good offensive line. But Alexander is doing it at a high level on both sides of the ball.

You could say Alexander benefits from a D1 QB also

He has the size to be a good college qb reminds me of Towles.

How so?

NKY is loaded with really good players right now. Glad they are getting noticed and offers. Free School is Cool!!!

The larger schools (UK, UC and UL) have been talking to him as a TE. His Wofford offer is as a TE. I assume more TE offers will be coming.

As an edge rusher? No. As a TE in a passing offense sure.  Power 5 schools are recruiting him as a defensive player.

Congrats to Brody, seems like a great kid.

What would be the benefit to taking a PWO at UK vs a real offer from a great school like Wofford?

Just to be in the SEC environment? But would probably actually get play time at Wofford.

That is what you have to weigh as a parent and the player.  PWO is a nice gig trust me, but there are no guarantees that the free ride will come or the playing time.

Test yourself at the highest level you get the opportunity at. Find out how good you are. Play for a "dream" school.

With the transfer portal, it is easy to move if you aren't going to play like you hoped for.
