They mixed in Rio with the ones. He threw a pick six….But then had a brilliant scramble and throw and had a great drive. QB position looks really good going forward. Benke and Rio mixing it up would be nightmarish for defenses. Completely different styles and both effective running and passing.
 

Lorenzen came in and looked exactly like his dad did in high school and tossed a TD. QB position is good for the next 4 years. 

I've heard they have a stud at the 8th grade level too so the future definitely looks bright at that position

Highlands 1st string wide receivers left a lot to be desired. Highlands run game is ready. 

Disappointing to see the WR group struggling. That room has a crazy amount of talent; hopefully, they get it together. Totally agree regarding the run game. This is the best OL I have seen HHS have since Dale was roaming the sidelines. HUGE guys that have clearly put in a lot of work in the weight room - refreshing to see. Merz is a stud. I would look for him to get a lot of interest from colleges in the near future.

If I were a Highlands fan, your comments about their line are the thing I would be most excited about.

Agreed. That is the thing I was most excited about from last night. Being great upfront allows you to do so many things to win games. 

As for Male, they did not look like the Male I am used to seeing. Could be a down year for them or maybe Wolf and Co. are keeping things close to the vest and worked/ran specific things they wanted to work on. 

I have heard that HHS stayed almost completely healthy. Hopefully, the same can be said for the Bulldogs.

I made it out to Ryle last night and then went to Highlands. IMO Highlands will control this scrimmage.

Believe it or not, but Lorenzen is the backup on the frosh team.  Starts at tight end and linebacker.

I think Tayden eventually becomes that classes QB1.  Harris is athletically gifted and I think his best position down the road is WR.  Just my opinion though, but I haven’t been wrong yet this month so I’m due.
