How do you think the Birds compare to last year, better or worse?

Personally thought the play calling was questionable but it’s a scrimmage. May have just wanted to call certain plays or get certain guys a chance to make a play. 

Defense better than I expected.

Special teams looked like they just worked on it for the first time the last 10 minutes of last night’s practice.

Let’s pump the brakes a bit.  Good effort for the most part.  Still things that need work, but look improved overall.  Keep in mind that varsity score was 27-21 Male.  Highlands had two frosh quarterbacks throw touchdown passes in last quarter.  Defense was a lot more active but don’t care much for the scheme as they get hurt too easily on the edge and need to quit trying to play man to man on the backend.

Plenty to work on but looks like the pieces are there if they can be put in the right places.

Rule 2 reads in part:

2. No disparaging, taunting, or boastful comments--especially between opponents trying to intimidate each other. This includes, name calling or personal attacks toward any member, username, team, or school. Additionally this includes a pattern of posts that inflames or incites other posters (i.e. trolling or gaslighting). 

And of course:

13. Within reason, you must use correct spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and grammar when posting on the forums.

Boyle wasn’t in the way last year either. Different division. Historically Highlands leads the series. Boyle won the last couple against Highlands convincingly though.

Much improved. The offensive/defensive line stood out. Very solid. This has not been the case of late.

Article from NKY Sports suggested that Benke would be playing QB/TE and Litmer would be alos be working in at QB. Was that the case last night?
