I know right.  I debated whether or not to add that I was a Beechwood grad but I couldn't pass that one up. ?‍♀️

Wow. Just wow. Do the Tigers dare to dream being district champs on Friday?

No! But…this Beechwood team is tough to figure out. Every time they get pounded by a team the first time, they win the next time they play. See Newport and HC.

Hard to believe Dreas who was 2 for 7 at the time took that really quick 3 with about 40 seconds left in a tie game. Thought they’d take last shot with Meyer.

If they can even compete and keep Friday's game within single digits, it is a win. It would show that they can compete with anyone next week.

Just some passing thoughts. I wonder if Beechwood would have been a "10-18" team had Cash Harney been healthy and available?

Tournament "magic" can happen to/for anyone at any time. I'm glad my guys up the street didn't have to face the Tigers in the first round.

So much for those Holy Cross Hoops State Bound yard signs I have been seeing up in some of the players front yards.

My guess is that they are still there from all A state.  The girls and boys both had them.

Single digits? Well at least they will have a moral victory then going into region.

That is what I think. They might not win, but competing tonight will put them on some tams radars going into regional play.

...and if they get blitzed by 25 tonight, what does that indicate?  More so, how much does that twist the knife for Holy Cross if (when?) CovCath drops the hammer on Beechwood tonight in Park Hills?  After beating Holy Cross, they certainly aren't going to sneak up on the coaches and players at CovCath, regardless of their record.

If they get blitzed by 25, I think that it indicates that they had a good night against Holy Cross, but aren't here to stay.

I am sure Holy Cross is still stung by that loss, sucks to see a good team with a great player go out in the first round.

And, just because, what does it mean if they blitz CovCath by 25 tonight? ?

Would it mean Beechwood is 43 points better than they were on Jan 6 when Harney was the Tigers leading scorer? ?

Jones didn't play in the first game as he was on retreat. Took CovCath a while to adjust to not having him. I know it's all in fun, but I'm not seeing a 43 point Beechie victory.
