Bad look from both teams, that’s for sure.

Like mentioned before, we can't let this take away from the phenomenal performance that these young groups of kids produced!

Big Time Game leads to Big Time Emotions. No love lost Between WV and Grant. Sure adult fans from Grant can be ridiculous, but it wasn’t 2 weeks ago Grant was at Walton and their fans were brutal! People been asking about the decline in attendance or fan support. Well this game didn’t Disappoint! Everybody got their moneys worth!  Good Season for WV, and what makes it worse is 3 teams in the 32nd could easily been a tough out next week in New Castle. Should be just the same Friday night between SK and Grant! 8th Region is tough this year.

I’ll say this, never seen that gym before. Pretty cool. Love the floor.

Watching the video, everything that happened post game is 100% on the coach in the dark blue shirt, who has been identified in posts above as Hammonds father. If you can't handle yourself better than that, you should not be on the sidelines. For goodness sake, your own players are holding you back and ushering you off the court. Embarrassing. Well done by the Grant County players managing him. Considering the way that guy behaved, I think everyone else did a pretty good job handling themselves and keeping this to a minimal event in a very emotional situation.

I seen Grants assistant coach celebrating and walking into the line to shake hands. He was Emotional from a great win and an exceptional performance from his son. Obviously from his body language Hester  said something to spark some emotion that led him to feel he needed to say something. It obviously wasn’t unprovoked. They are adults. If they want to exchange words go ahead. If they want to talk after the game and scream and yell, go ahead. If they want to meet up and have a drink, go ahead. However I have zero tolerance for a coach to engage the kids in a negative way. That’s the problem with the post game altercation. WV assistant coach yelling at the players, is a much bigger problem.

Why do teams shake hands after the game? Especially in a season ending situation.

My solution is to shake hands BEFORE the game, wish everyone good luck, stay healthy and then play. Once game is over losers head to the locker room and winners can revel in their victory.

I've played my whole life and been a fan as well. I’ve never understood why we do it in the order we do. As society keeps heading down more confrontational paths, post game lines have become increasingly “physical “

I like it just the way it is. During a game, there are many things that fire up your opponents. Whether it be a cheap hit, trash talk, etc. In my opinion, the end of the game handshake kind of puts that all aside, and brings one other back to being civil. Obviously things can go wrong, but 99% of the time all works out well.

I could never imagine arguing with an opposing player. I've been in this field for about 20 years and can't fathom anything that would possess me to do this to an opposing player.

Sorry, I see nothing in these pictures that indicate any wrong doing on anyone's part.

That is a WV assistant saying something to Dylan Hammonds after the game. This was directly after that same coach shoved Hammonds' dad after the handshake line. But, his dad was in my opinion the cause of the entire thing.

It all occurs in the last 2 minutes of the stream. Nothing extreme, but not a great look for either school. Looked like (for the majority), one team looked like they couldn't handle a win, and the other couldn't handle a loss.

50+ year old coach with his finger in 17 year olds face in post game hand shaking line. ??.  I see a problem with that. I don’t know what was said but I don’t think with the finger pointing  it was a congratulations on the win.

It's not a positive look by no means, but truth is their is just a mutual hatred between these 2 schools. Anytime these 2 matchup in any sport, the ugly comes out.
