I think in Baltimore's eyes, foolishly, Lamar is the weapon.   But that model doesn't really work in the NFL.   The only one to really go that way and stay relatively injury free was Vick, and he was out for, what 2+ seasons in the prime of his career.

Lamar’s knee probably swelled up again after the paid on an OLB while he’s wanting a deal done.

  • He's not on that level yet, no. I agree. Part of that is his own fault, part of that is that he hasn't once had the weapons that Mahomes and Allen have had.  It should be extremely clear now his

  • Ravens are fully loaded on D. I’m still nervous even with Lamar out. Bengals D is the real deal, our offense needs TDs not FGs.

  • I don't know what to say. It took Hubbard a little bit to get up to speed, I love it. Who Dey!

Have the Ravens released anything on who they plan to start at QB?

I have not seen anything.

The longer this goes on, I think the more likely it becomes that Lamar Jackson is not on the Ravens for next year. This situation is becoming increasingly contentious.

I like the the Bengals players are probably not happy with a few of the antics from the Ravens this past week.  Jungle is gonna be rocking baby!

Can't wait to get down there!

The Bengals will need to play much better to win this Sunday. If the turnovers were even yesterday, the Ravens win. Ravens outgained the Bengals. Ravens won almost every stat category except turnovers.

I initially thought this, too.  However, I wonder just how much Taylor "held back" on offense, once they got to the second half.  I'm not saying they weren't trying to move the ball down the field...just that they may not have emptied the playbook to do so.

I think there was some statement from Harbaugh that Lamar really wants to play. Which is basically a pressuring ploy that teams do. After his injury scare, someone finally got to Jackson and said, "what in the hell are you doing?"

In short, I think Cincy fans can start looking for excursions to Niagara Falls.

Even if he plays, how effective can he be after sitting for all these weeks?

Seriously... Read the room.

I do think Lamar wants to play, that's just who he is.

I also hope that he's realized his value, and also sees the risk/reward for playing in a game they are likely going to lose anyway.

Let's pretend they beat the Bengals... Then they go to Buffalo? Season's over anyway.

I don't follow this one.

Agree. It's almost a lose/lose IMO. Those that already hammer him will talk about how he can't win big games if he loses to either of those teams, when in reality he literally doesn't have NFL caliber WR, etc.

If he comes back and totally blows the knee, then that will be over his head too.

The crazy part of this, I was a believer that Lamar's value was WAY overstated by many, but his absence has made me a believer of the opposite.

What I mean is that it's foolish of the Ravens to sign a LB to a huge contract while their franchise player is waiting on one. It's horrible optics, IMO.

Does anyone know how the Bengals are going to shuffle around their OL with Cappa and Collins out?

Next man up. HA has played okay since Collins went out and Scharping was literally brought in as an "expensive insurance policy."

The bigger concern is the left side of the line after the previous 2 games against the Ravens.

It’s hard to believe that 41 years ago today was the Chargers vs. Bengals in AFC Championship game better known as “The Freezer Bowl”.
