2007 Corbin

I got to watch Corbin Qb Clint Cashen tonight for the first time ,expecting this big time prospect to be the next coming of Tim Couch, according to the posts that said he was a 4 star recruit. All I saw was a QB who threw to who the coaches told him to instead of reading defenses and reacting accordingly. A 4 star recruit- I did not see tonight, Am I missing something??

To answer your last question...Yes.

Watch Clint in an actual game and you will see things that will blow your mind. I've never heard anyone mention that he is a 4 star recruit but he is as good as any quarterback in the state over the past 2 or 3 years.

Yes, I am pretty sure that Somerset is the 10th team on the schedule. I have heard people say Danville a lot but I think that was more because Danville was one of the teams initially invited to Pigskin but replaced by Dunbar. Correct me if I'm wrong. Does anyone know which games are home and away? I heard Middlesboro was on the road again this year. Also what about Bethlehem?

Middlesboro and Bethlehem are both home games.

Who stood out at the competitions this past week at North Laurel? Who else was in the competition? How did Corbin fare against them?

What you also saw was Clint cashen playing a passing game without three of his top targets. Which gave the coaches a chance to pick and choose who gets the ball thrown to. That way maybe there will be more weapons this year from the air. That is partly the reason of a passing scrimmage, not just to see if your QB can read a Defense. Anybody in the state knows he can read a defense if they have seen him play. He was making audibles at the line his freshman year.

I do believe that Somerset does play Corbin this year at Corbin.

They play each other in the final regular season game, at Somerset.

That's good. Corbin needs to keep rival games on their roster. Dropping Bell and adding Somerset is a good trade for them.

Any Hounds fans care to make a score prediction on the Belfry game?

CORBIN 24 Belfry 14

I know Corbin has a lot coming back and I've only heard that Belfry lost a lot and this will be a rebuilding year. I just know that Belfry always plays hard and is one of the best coached teams in Kentucky with Coach Haywood. I'm sure this is way off and it's definitely subject to change but I'll say 35-20 Corbin but won't be the least bit surprised if it's much closer. In fact, I wouldn't doubt it being closer than I predict because Coach Haywood will get the inexperience very experienced over the summer.

Corbin will take a few games to get the O going the D will play good.Corbin will win this one 19-8

Corbin will be very good this year with Cashen leading the way. I don't know if they have a kid who is a scoring threat on every play. Coach P also needs to let his kids play. Coach needs to let the big boy play. He has much more potential in football than basketball. He is a good basketball player who would be a D1 prospect in football.

I think Corbin will beat Belfry by 2 touchdowns, but I think the game will be low scoring. Belfry usually starts slow, especially offensively, and with no experience at tailback they will likely have a hard time moving the chains.

Maybe 21-7 or so.

Corbin will take a few games to get the O going the D will play good.

I think with the O having alot of experience, you'll see them come out firing this year, unlike last when it took us a few game to mature. I look for us to have a more reliable ground game this year.
