Final. Cats get the first SEC win of the season before they travel to Alabama for big game on Sat. The Cats were lead by Toppin with 21 and Oscar had 19 points and 16 rebounds.

Offense got stagnant down the stretch.  Up 10 with 10:44 left in the game Kentucky only made 5 more shots.

I'm glad they found a way to finally win one of these games.

The foul call on the three point shot could have done us in. If Livingston doesn't bump him on that shot I think the end of the game looks and feels much different (better.) Those 3 free throws gave them a chance, after a shot that was an air ball that we may have had a run out on.

Someone explain to me the foul on Cason Wallace when he had the put back on the missed free throw. Anyone got anything? That was a Doug Shows special if I've ever seen one.

Offense looked better through the majority of the game until the very end. Got bailed on once on a huge Toppin 3.

Felt like Wheeler played really well overall, minus his late free throw. Take your time man.

Good win! Toppin these last two games is finally playing like the player I thought he would be before the season started! Hopefully he can keep this up!

Just a straight up blown call.  The announcers even said that there was nothing there and he should have been shooting an and one.  Horrible call.

I watched the play again about five times on Twitter this morning and can't remotely rationalize what the heck he was calling on Wallace.

Recency bias, but that mightve been one of the worst calls I've ever seen.

It was bizarre. My gut tells me the play looked off because it was executed so well and he committed to the call with pride not allowing him to reverse course. In turn, Cal jumped all over him and he took it instead of T-ing him up. Who knows?

Blown call was an understatement.  Potential 3 points taken away.  Next play the driving LSU player is touched by NO ONE and a foul called on Collins.  Those 2 plays really helped LSU to reel KY back in.

I try and wrap my arms around Wheeler, but I just can't get there. The final stat line looked great, but he was not good down the stretch. He only ended up with two turnovers, but those late game possessions when he just dribbles around with no play to make (and you mentioned the late FT miss) act as de facto turnovers. Finally they gave it to Wallace and cleared out the left side for him to make a play.

Shoutout to Matt McMahon for doing what he has with LSU. The roster is filled with Murray State players and you can see why they were a 7 seed in last year's NCAA tournament.

Doug Shows has to be the star of the show from time to time.  He's always been that way.

Little stat that is maybe flying under the radar, Wheeler is 8/15 from three in the last three five games.

Wheeler seems to be a lightning rod for a lot of fans, but he's played pretty well this season. He's not perfect, but he's also not the reason they've lost four games.
