Top college football conference this year?

The Big East was undefeated in post-season bowl competition and had 3 teams ranked between 6 and 12 in the various polls. The SEC has the national champion and 3 teams ranked between 1 and 6 in the various polls and 5 teams in the top 25. The Big 10 had the 1 and 2 teams for part of the season. Thoughts?

The Big East at the top is as good as anyone. But conference as a whole would have to go SEC and MAYBE a glance the Pac 10's way.

We have argued this under about 10 different threads - all with differing titles. The SEC is the strongest conference, end of story.

If it did nothing else, I think the SEC pretty clearly established itself as the strongest at the top with Florida and LSU. The Big East has a very strong argument for #2, IMO. That's where I'd put them probably.
