I wasn't at the game last week, but I heard grumbling about the same thing from several people. Apparently the PA guy would occasionally call numbers for the visitors. I was told he was given the Cov Cath roster by the stat crew both before the game and at halftime.

Wow, security screenings at a high school football game, how sad.

Douglass should advance with little trouble, but the battle in the trenches might be fun to watch. Specifically when Wofo has the ball. Collisions between Jamarrion Harkless and Tristan Cook might trigger a small tremor or two.

If Harkless and Co. can negate Woodford's run game between the tackles, this could be over in a hurry. Too much lateral speed from the Broncos to get beaten on the edges and they've got the best secondary in the state, so obvious passing downs are a clear win for that defense.

It could happen. But a team capable of scoring 77 points in four quarters is going to be hard to RC. Even if Douglass does get a comfortable lead, then the starters are going to come out. And that Woodford 1st string is sure to at least get a few on the Broncos 2nd unit.

Right! It could probably have been 49-35, but somehow they put up 77. So even if there were scoop and scores, pick sixes and special teams returns for scores, Wofo is quite capable of finding the end zone. 

This isn't a team running shotgun draws and sneaks into the rear of the center. This is definitely a high powered offense.  Couple that with the upcoming frigid weather, AND what I would anticipate for the Douglass gameplan, I don't think there is an opportunity for a running clock unless Wofo completely falls apart with turnovers.

I don't know, Ashland hung 69 on them and Mercer County hit them with 63. 

@theguru uh oh. My reply may have gotten lost in translation. My overall point is that regarding Douglass potentially clocking Woodford, the Jackets can flat out score a ton, so it shouldn't be unreasonable to see them getting to the end zone a few times. 

The 77 points against West Jess, is indicative of that. Yes, West Jess' defense is clearly mediocre, not to be compared with Douglass. But Wofo is going to have some aspects offensively that will move the ball much better against us than a lot of the other teams we've played. 

To an extent, I definitely think the majority of folks are discounting Woodford. I could very well say we are gonna goose egg them, and get 50 or so points Friday. But there are lot of factors in play, in this specific match up that aren't apparent to those outside the area and I see leading up to a relatively close game.

I don't see this game close.  FD is the most complete team I've ever seen play Boyle in the past 25 years.

WC has not seen a defense like FD all year. That will be the major difference. The soft schedule WC plays during the season does them zero favors in preparation for games like this. SK was their toughest opponent and you see what happened there refs or no refs. I do however don’t believe it will be a running clock. 

I just hate that there are Wofo supporters on this site, and none are projecting in this thread. I think the Jackets are going to put up a fair fight. It would be great to have insight from those closer to that team.
