You can only compare what actually happened though. Noon is more dynamic as a football player. Shaun Alexander never threw the ball let alone started at QB. Shaun is a legendary running back, best of KY history probably. But similar to Tom Brady at QB dude was pure running back. 

You can’t say Alexander was just a pure running back, and not act like he wouldn’t be dynamic if they wanted to use him like that. Just like If you put Noon on that same Boone team Alexander played on, with the same coaching staff back then with how the game was played. Noon most likely gets stuck at one position and never gets moved around. So if Noon was on that team should  Noon then been labeled as just a one position type player and not dynamic, if a coaching staff only chose to use him as that? Would that have made Noon purely just a pass catching wide receiver and nothing more, if a coaching staff chose not to use him in other ways? Or if Highlands had kept Noon at QB and never used him in other ways. Would have that have made Noon any less dynamic as a player, simply cause the coaching staff chose not to use him in different ways? 
 

Shaun Alexander would have been most likely the most dominant player on the field at almost any position they would have put him. RB, TE, WR, OL, DL, LB, S, returner, etc  

Could you imagine Alexander split out wide and DBs trying to tackle Alexander on some of the quick screens, and Jett sweeps like they do with Noon? Or a kickoff team trying to tackle Alexander on a kick off return with him running full speed behind a wedge. He seriously would have been dominate at almost any position. 

So let’s not act like Alexander wasn’t dynamic, just because they didn’t choose to use him in other spots. Let’s just leave it at that Noon is a GREAT high school player, and stop with any comparisons of saying he is more dynamic than one of the best athletes to come out of this state. 
 

Now back to the game. It should be a good game Friday. 

To add one more thing. Shaun Alexander 40 time was a 4.58. He would have been the biggest and one of the fastest kids in the state even today if he played. So he would have been cooking defensive backs at WR, if a team wanted to use him that. Legit probably would have been dominant at almost any position he played.

Well I didn’t start the comparison. Guy used the word dynamic not knowing what the word meant. Shaun Alexander is an all time great and was better at high school football than Noon. Noon can play at QB, RB, or WR. Never saw Shaun Alexander attempt one pass. No shame to him he only played RB. Look up words before you use them.

Fine don’t even have to say QB then. It’s not hard to see that Alexander probably would have been great at almost any other position and not just RB.

I know he was the one who brought up Alexander for some reason, which I don’t know why he did either. However, you are the one who made the statement Noon is more dynamic than Alexander, and you literally characterized Alexander as a guy who could have only played one position and nothing else much like Brady as a QB. Which is where you got it wrong, and not true. Just because he wasn’t used in multiple spots by his coaches, doesn’t make him any less dynamic. He literally could have played almost anywhere and been dominant with his size and speed.

Ummm yeah I guess so? Hey, that guy was giving me some wise guy response to my wildcat idea and I responded to him with some wise guy stuff because he didn’t know what the word dynamic meant. I guess I was wrong. Shaun Alexander is more dynamic because he was an all time great at RB and went to the NFL and had a great career also at RB.

Top high school level? You have an inflated concept of NKY HS football. He is an outstanding player. Very talented. If your assumption is valid there would be a line of Power 5 coaches lined up down Memorial Parkway. I had the pleasure of being on the field up close and personal when Shaun was playing. He did some amazing things. Ask Mark Goetz about a defensive play he made against Campbell County. I wish Mr. Noon nothing but the best.

So again can anyone give us outsiders a break down on what to expect tomorrow night? I’d like to see this game if it is supposed to be competitive. And if the Alexander kid is as good as I heard I’d like to check him out as well.

I am no expert but there will be plenty of good players to see. You have seen the HHS guys it sounds like but Cooper has Alexander as you mentioned and they also have one of the leading tacklers in the state (Lonaker). If you look at common opponents, Cooper had close wins against Dixie and Campbell. They had close low scoring losses to CCH and Ryle. I throw out the GRC game as I do South Warren for HHS as it was the first game and these teams are different now. Cal Preps has this as a 38-24 Birds win. I think/hope that is fairly accurate. 

This game should be more than competitive.  If Highlands shows up hungry they win imo.  If hangover from last week they can get beat.  Cooper seems to be a team that might be a year away, but 8 or 9 games makes frosh qb that much more experienced.  Good luck to both teams and hopefully each come out healthy with the playoffs right around the corner.

This is where I am at and I am looking forward to watching the game.
