Ryle 5 St. Henry 0 (9th Region)

Recommended Posts

Another in a quartet of one-sided games in the 9th Region quarters, this one saw Ryle run away from the Cru by a 5-0 margin.  Ryle had an opportunity to get a lot of playing time for some younger players, so that is both fun for those boys and their parents, but also gives the future Raider starters some much needed experience on a big stage against a solid opponent.  Ryle vs Highlands on Thursday...will be well worth the price of admission.

The Crusaders fought through the loss of several key players from last year, and some key injuries (including their starting keeper), and got back to the same place they did last year -- the 9th Region quarters.  The Brayden Fedders story, the basketball player who jumped into the goal when their GK went down, was a great one to follow along with.  Hopefully he has a great year on the basketball court, and enjoyed some time as a soccer player this fall.  I hope someone explained the rules to Marty at some point so he could enjoy this magical run for his young man!!  😊 St. Henry ends the 2022 season 7-11-0, having scored 36 goals and allowing 45.  They have a number of key players (including both all-district performers Kyle Z. and Matthew Resing) that they'll be losing, so it will be interesting to see what next year's Crusader team looks like.  Congrats to Coach Litzler and the Crusaders on a hard-fought season.
