Runcible Owl Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 đĽď¸ đ | The Professor has tagged five defending State champs as preseason #1's. Beechwood opens up at the top of 2A with a razor thin margin over Mayfield (0.01). âď¸ All speculative at this point of course, but a fun starting point nonetheless. barrel Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 Well this is definitely going to drum up some conversation. Iâm looking forward to seeing peopleâs opinions on this. I feel like in the past these have been fairly good ballpark ratings but I might be remembering that wrong. 1
DearToday Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 O Cath at 4, Paducah at 4, and Johnson Central UR probably the biggest that stand out to me. 2
wingt51 Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 Â I wonder if Massey knows about the mass exodus that happened at Taylor County this offseason.đ 1 1

They're #7 in 4A and 35th statewide. Sorry Golden Eagles. â˘â˘â˘ 4A Revised â˘â˘â˘Â 1. Boyle County 2. Corbin 3. Covington Catholic 4. Paducah Tilghman 5. Franklin County 6. Logan County I would move Paducah Tilghman to #2 and Taylor County out of top 10. Corbin has a lot of shoes to fill, but still belongs in the 3-6 group. Ashland could move up and Johnson Central still is a question mark. After the top 7 is any ones guess.Â
barrel Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 Is there a key someplace for all the columns? Most are easy to figure out or are self explanatory but some Iâm clueless about.Â

Click on "Key" for a drop down list. Column headers, in white, are also sortable - schools alphabetically, strength of schedule, etc. It's worth navigating for a few minutes to click on a few features. Overall, Massey is much more user friendly than CalPreps. Link ~ đ masseyratings.com/hsf/ky/ratings â Below is a link to the Massey home page. "High School Football" opens up Rankings for all 50 states and DC. One can find a score prediction for all schools in the database by clicking on "Matchup" as shown in the image below. đ masseyratings.com đŚ Imo, computer ranking accuracy improves as more data becomes available as the season progresses. In my experience, early on, all of them are front loaded, with a "bias" from the previous season. There's no tracking of current transfers, coaching changes, and whatnot. đ Have fun with it y'all. Let's have a great year. Best of luck and safe travels! đ 2
BillNye Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 I don't see a reason for Cooper to be the fifth ranked team in 5A, no matter who's rankings it is.

barrel Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 Scott Co above Cooper is a surprise to me. With Cooper at 4 I think thatâs much closer. You would think 1-4 would be fairly close and could be debated a few different ways.Â

Hard Work Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Considering Sayre embarrassed Bethlehem last year I am surprised by that ranking. Station in 6A has loaded up I think they will finish much higher. I could be wrong. 1
