I liked Castle Wolfenstein too.

Also the arcade game Defender. 

Didn't have computer games when I was a kid, however does pinball count?  Didn't it have some type of computerization because of electronics? ?

I forgot about Blades of Steel, that was a good one.

I thought Super Mario World, with the release of the Super Nintendo, was tremendous. It was a big step up in game play and graphics from the original NES. When it came out, it just felt revolutionary. So I guess I would vote for that on those grounds alone? 

My vote went elsewhere and I stick with that vote. But man, this is the game I'd play over and over and would love to play right now.

Enjoyed the Super Mario Galaxy games on the Wii but this was the best Mario!
