Bishop Brossart 1 Covington Holy Cross 0

Recommended Posts

Brossart improves to 3-3-2 on the season, and they have been quite solid since their opening game destruction at the hands of the Birds.  Even their losses have been to very good teams and by very narrow margins.

Holy Cross, who I have probably favored more than most given some weapons they have up front, continues to be "this" close to a breakthrough result.  While they do fall to 4-3-0 on the season, this loss and the 0-1 loss to NewCath both should give Coach Groneck and the Indians some confidence that they can play with the better teams (not the top tier clubs, but the ones just below), and, secure their ultimate prize, the 2nd trip to the 9th Region Tourney out of the 35th.  They and the Beechwood Tigers both feel like they have a team that can beat the either, and while Beechwood probably will be a slight favorite, it should be a fun thing to keep an eye on.
