Ketchup does not exist, what are you having with these?

9 times out of 10 I just eat my fries with salt anyway.

Melted cheese is a good option sometimes, but I couldn't do that all the time. And no nacho cheese...that just makes them soggy.

Mayo isn't bad on fries. Neither is tarter sauce or Cane's sauce.

You had me until the last paragraph.  I like all of those sauces, just not with fries.

Probably just salt them really well and roll with that.

I can honestly say, I don't think I've ever salted anything.

Psychopath.

I would say about 75% of the time I eat french fries with no ketchup. I like them plain. The one thing I like to dip fries into other than ketchup is Frisch's tartar sauce. I also have eaten poutine a few times. Other than that, I don't think I have ever eaten french fries with anything else on them.

Worcestershire sauce. Excellent on crispy fries.

Give me a bottle of honey and I'm good.  I'll eat honey on almost anything. It's really good on fries.

I'm gonna have to try these two.

Not really a big sweets guy either.  I've definitely never understood sweet and salty, like salting watermelon.

Where I'm from, malted vinegar is commonly eaten with fries.

I am with you here sf41, it has been years since I have salted anything and I do not have salt in my home.  Additionally, I only eat out a couple times of month and almost without exception it gives me cottonmouth and I drink a ton of water every day.

On sweets, I prefer a Pepsi or Coke as my dessert and more entrée vs. any kind of sweets.

I do have one exception to the salt rule, if I come across a large, juicy, homegrown tomato adding a little salt is nice, beyond that, get that shaker away from my food.

With fish & chips, malt vinegar is a MUST. As long as their steak fries or wedges, I'm down for malt vinegar.

I will generally eat food however it's served.  But if I'm adding anything it's usually to make it spicier.

Chili and cheese?

Sure.  Pretty much any chili parlor in area will serve them with chili and cheese if ordered.

White gravy.
