And every other employer he has had in coaching. :sssh: :sssh: He seems to be a nice man and he puts on a good front. I also believe that most (not all) of the parents of his players at various schools he has been and some of the players themselves would beg to differ. I could understand if it was just one or maybe more kids and parents at one school but this has been a pattern everywhere he has been. He know b.b. well enough but has problems when it comes to dealing with people. JMO (it's not all about the X's and O's - it's about ther Jimmy's and Joe's).

Coach Bobby Keith did an awesome job at Clay co. State Champs in 1987, runners up in 85 and 88. He could take the biggest sissys in the state and make them pure ball players. He's done it many times. During the late 70's 80's and most of the 90's clay co basketball was a force to be reckoned with. :ylsuper:

i would have to say Kain or Cobb for football. Kain took them to all those state games. However Coach Jay Cobb is making his own legacy here.

Hard to say at Mason County between Coach Allen Feldhaus and Coach Kelly Wells

You all tend to forget that Allen Feldhaus coached at Mason County when Maysville had great teams, Fleming County had great teams, St. Pat had quality teams and this was just in the 39th district. Coach Feldhaus had to win a game to make it to the regional tournament and that game was not considered a free pass. Mason County won many district titles 7 or 8 in the 80's when the competition JUST in this district was very tough. Then Coach Feldhaus led Mason County to it's very first regional title (1981) and then won again in '82, 85, and '87. Coach Feldhaus is a hall of famer, he won with teams that didn't always have division one talent and he is a legend at Mason County.

Phillip Wood took 2 PC teams to the state tourney without the kind of talent PC has had recently.

Very good point. As I have said before, Wells did a great job in a short period of time but Feldhaus did it over several seasons, sometimes getting alot out of not much talent.

Without a doubt, Randy Ward the top coach in Greenup County High's history. In 20 years he built a program that was not only respected in the Sixteenth Region, but across the state of Kentucky. His resume may not be as spectacular as some across the Bluegrass, but with 12 63rd District titles, four 16th Region titles and over 350 wins (I believe, it could be more) at GCHS he is one of the top teir coaches in state history. Sure their was turmoil surrounding him for a great deal of his time at GCHS, but believe me most of came from jealous factions and the politics that has devided the school since three independent school districts (Greenup, Wurtland and McKell) were forced into consolidation. Many of the same issues are present today and continue to cause problems. So with that said I say that any man who can stay and survive 20 years in this mess of a school system deserves this recognition if not a medal of honor

In reality IF you understand basketball, Ward's teams made the other team work for baskets, which led to some lower scoring games. With that said, his teams in the late 90's on a regular basis scored in the 70's and few times I know with the 1997 and 1998 teams they surpassed the century mark a few times. Ultimately I have to say to those who say boring to watch i.e. John Boy, Defense wins championships and just how many have the Musketeers won since he left?
