I will give you that Kelly was a good coach, I have nothing against him. But I still say Hall was better

 

Lake Kelly took a talented group to the Sweet 16 in consecutive years.

 

It can be argued that Bob Hall got just as much if not more out of the talent that he had.

Yea Bane was a fine coach, the pressure of parents, alumni and players not listening to him was to much.

Daniel Fisher is a very good guy and has been good for Bracken County schools. However, I do not think he would be considered the best coach ever at Bracken County, I doubt he makes their top-5. Good guy though!!!!!

I have to put in a word for the best leader of young men I've ever met and a fine coach. He was allowed only one year at Rose Hill to demonstrate just how much he could get out of a group of boys willing to work. That man is Ron Reed...and there are too few like him.

If you liked that syle or not he was successfull at what he did. Allot of coaches resemble his style in the 16th now.

 

From Greenup County & the former Greenup High school I would have to include Ramey Fletcher.

Not only was he a great coach, he was a tremendous person also.

I am pretty sure it is the same one. he was at Raceland and had many other short visits in the high school ranks in our area.

He coached during my senior year during which I had knee surgery and didn't play for him. He was a nice fellow though!

I remember that year well but am sure you would like to forget.

I am going to tell how old I really am. I played for him in the 7th grade. Reed was also a Raceland grad and was a very good baseball player in his day. I remember watchng he and my brother play in a semi-pro league. Reed had some great stuff on the mound. His cousin was my high school coach football coach who later coached at Morgan County.

Mike Listermann of CCH is doing a great job this year.
