It's draft day! What are some position needs that your team needs to fill, and who are some players that you hope your team is targeting?

The first Wildcat to be drafted is Wan'dale Robinson as the 43rd pick to the NY Giants. Congrats young man and best of luck!

  • I love this, Wan'Dale is one of my favorite players to watch.  And he will always be BluegrassPreps.com's 2018 PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Wan'Dale Robinson to me.

  • 5 Bearcats taken in the top 100 picks...Only Georgia (9) and Alabama (6) had more players drafted in the first 3 rounds. Great landing spot for each player as well. Sauce taken at #4 fits in

IMO, the Bengals biggest team needs are CB, DT, S, IOL, TE in that order. I am hoping that they draft BPA, but below are the players on my want list if they are available (all are players I have seen at some point being projected to the Bengals).

1. Zion Johnson IOL - His stock has risen since the combine, and this is probably a pipe dream, but I think he is going to be a star in the league.

2. Andrew Booth or Kaiir Elam CB - Both big CBs who have good speed and can play man or zone. I think I prefer Elam over Booth as I have some fear of Booth sitting out of the combine.

3. Devonte Wyatt DT - 304 lbs. 4.78 40 yard dash. He definitely has some refinement to be done, but as a rotational player to start his NFL career, I would love a player with his motor.

4. George Karlaftis or David Ojabo EDGE - You can never have too many egde rushers, and some of the injuries Hutchinson had toward the end of last year has me scared of how long he will be able to play at the level he played last year. I am excited for Ossai, but having some edge help waiting in the wings would be great.

5. Lewis Cine S - Unfortunately, I don't think Jesse Bates is going to be a Bengal after the 2022 season. He is going to want to get paid and the Bengals will need to pay other players. Lewis Cine is the best and smartest safety IMHO that could be available when we draft.

I know a lot of people are high on Linderbaum out of Iowa, I just have fears that he could be Billy Price 2.0 with his arm length and I also feel like drafting a center in the first round is wasting draft capital.

Travon Walker from Georgia is the first pick in the draft to the Jaguars.

Who will be the first UK player picked?

Not a big fan of Wyatt. He is older and didn’t have the best production. Tested great though, but he is not one of the ones I want.

Also out of the safeties prefer Hill, and Pitre more than Cine.

A huge no thank you to Ojabo with the first round pick. Now if he is still there in the second round because of his injury, then yes absolutely.

The other players you mentioned I would really like. I was also a little worried about Linderbaum being like Price. However, Linderbaum is simply a lot better than Price was in college, and his tape shows that. I think Linderbaum in this zone rushing offense would be a good fit now.

Logan Hall and Kyler Gordon are two other ones I really like.

The whole booing the commissioner thing is no longer cute and/or funny.  Just stop.

As much as I love sports and follow the NFL, I just can't get into the draft.  I went to bed about 10pm last night and probably won't tune in the rest of the weekend.

The draft does absolutely nothing for me. The only time I care to tune in is if somebody from UofL is looking to go early.

I flipped onto the draft for a few minutes at a time last night and only tuned in when the Bengals were ready to pick.  My only interest the rest of the weekend will be to check in to see who the Bengals picked, beyond that I have no interest and I love the NFL.

The Draft is only appealing to the die hards. Fortunately for the NFL, there are a ton of them.

I don't watch the draft unless a UK player is expected to go in the 1st round.   I do keep up with where the UK players go via websites.

Ditto. Outside of watching the Bengals pick and following commentary, I watched less than 10 minutes.  When I was watching, it was to check the crawler to see who picked who.

Exactly, I may have logged 15 total minutes but same approach.

I checked in briefly on ESPN, ABC, and NFL Network.  All three broadcasts were mediocre.    The small-time I watched, the picks came so fast, that no one had time to talk about anything.   I won't watch the remainder of the weekend.  I'll rely on my apps to inform me who Cincinnati selects.
