Some will say finally for the first time the Tar Heels will take on the Blue Devils in the NCAA Tournament and no less in the Final 4. Both teams are playing very well right it should be a great game. The game is scheduled to tip at 8:49pm I expect it to be closer to 9:00pm.

  • I would no longer be on BGP.

  • No matter what happens, @Randy Parkerloses.

  • I still can't get out of my head that UK thrashed two of the Final Four teams. Like utter humiliated both UNC and KU.

I really didnt want this to happen. This is bragging rights forever in the rivalry.

I guess I’ll be rooting for Duke. Just can’t root for UNC.

Duke.  Coach K's last final four and I think that the entire campus has a Grand Canyon size chip following the final regular-season game,

These two teams are playing better than anyone in the country, but Duke has talent galore.  I don't see this living up to the incredible hype we'll see all week.  Duke wins by 8, but it won't feel that close.

Reminds me of the last time there was a Final Four in New Orleans...

I don't pity either fan base. That UK/UL game was not even enjoyable to watch.

Good point.

This being K's last game makes it even worse than UK/UL in 2012.  Can you imagine if he loses his final game in the Final Four against UNC?  Gracious sakes. LOL

I think we all get caught up with tournament results and take a small sample size (4 games) and equate that to being on a roll. Duke's best game was Saturday night. They won by nine but it was not remotely competitive. Before that they were down deep in the second half to Michigan State and Texas Tech (solid, but not great teams), I'm throwing out their first round game, and they got blown in the ACC finals and blown out their last game of the regular season. UNC has been up and down, but definitely more of the up arrow the last month of the year. But it would not shock me to see them lay an egg with how inconsistent they've been. Point being, it is not as if either of these teams are on 10+ game winning streaks where they are annihilating the competition. KU and Nova each are on 9 game runs.

Same.  And neither one of those games in Rupp.

For me, it's more that when Duke turns it up, it's really impressive.  That probably registers with my mind more so than the longer winning streaks.

North Carolina is a genuine surprise.  Someone in another thread likened them to the Harrisons/Randle UK team from 2014, I think.  Turned it on at just the right time.
