I typically drink Bourbon in an old fashioned or with just a splash of Ginger Ale with ice. I'm not a big straight drinker either.

I keep Ginger Ale for this exact reason. And like you said it only needs a splash.

Bulleit is a pretty boring bourbon in my book.

The bourbon that Mark Stoops has bought into is pretty gross. Think it’s calls W.M. Tarr.

I agree.  Had a pour of that once for $5 and it definitely still wasn't worth it.

I wouldn't call it bad, but it's definitely forgettable. I don't mind their rye though.

I don't think it's bad. It's certainly not a special occasion bourbon, but I almost always have a bottle in my bar. I do think you get pretty much what you pay for with Bulleit, so I'm not sure it belongs on the list of disappointing bourbons for the price.

That’s fair.

I don't know if Southern Comfort falls into this category, BUT it is the nastiest Whiskey/Bourbon I've ever partaken in.

On the other hand while I enjoy Crown Royal and Makers, I can also enjoy Kessler and Coke and have for decades.

It's not bourbon, but is a whiskey.  Been a long time since I've had any.

And it will be a long time before I ever have any Southern Comfort again.

JW Dant. I`m not sure they still make it. My mom and dad used to keep a bottle of it around the house. I think they used it in hot toddies or maybe they used as paint thinner. Not sure. To answer the second question, I would say Colonel Taylor. My son got me a fifth for fathers day and I just didn't`t care for it.

Last time I drank bourbon, my future Mister left me at the side door and said “Tell your mom you had a bad cheeseburger.”  She did not believe me.  All bourbon is awful.  The mister still likes it though.
