Question for Highlands fans (and not a slam):  is there a reason Highlands has a blue-white scrimmage instead of scheduling another team as a scrimmage opponent?

They just scrimmaged Ryle last night.

Blue-White night is a community event. 7th grade through Varsity scrimmage and they also do Senior Night at this event. It is actually pretty cool. I totally understand that having another opponent would be good but this season, Highlands has already scrimmaged Male and Ryle heading into Blue-White Night.

KHSAA By law 23: limits scrimmages to 2 prior to the Reg season, which Highlands has now met with the Male & Ryle scrimmage.

You only get 2 scrimmages and Highlands did so with Male and Ryle.  Friday gives all kids 7th through 12th to basically meet the city.  Also Senior night and also recognition of the next class of Hall of Fame members. Admission is charged for this event.

Friday Night is the same as a Glorified practice. Just another work day.
