Noon had 4 receiving TDs. That WR room is crazy talented with Noon, Benke, Matteoli, Class, Hinegardner, etc. 

I would have liked to see a little more out of the defense. It’s obviously very early, but I was not all that impressed. 
 

Wish I could have seen Bottom throw some. He was there but just hanging out. Maybe saving his arm for Hoover? 
 

Overall, a lot of speed and talent at the skill positions for HHS.

Looked to be two younger guys, sorry I do not know their names. I was very impressed with the lefty; he handled things very well.

Thanks for throwing their names out. They deserve to be recognized. I did not see much of the freshman. They were going the opposite direction and I was focused more on the varsity. 

JV is playing 7 on 7 now you can watch it on the touchdown club on Facebook. 

So, Highlands won the EKU 7 on 7 meaning they have to have skilled talent and of course coaching.  What does the offensive line look like?  And if the OL is strong this is a state championship contender, right?

I saw the OL Saturday at the EKU Big Man Challenge.  They were in the same group at the Bullitt East DL, so I saw many of their 1v1 reps.  Things can and do tend to change once pads go on, but there is some potential, but a lot of work to be done.  No disrespect intended at all and I've been wrong plenty of times before, but I don't see this team as being a state championship contender; at least not this year.  I will say if the kid who was QB was just a freshman, Highlands has a lot to look forward to.  He made good decisions and didn't force the ball.  He checked it down when he needed to and had both good touch and zip on the ball when needed.  Again, a lot changes when you have 250-300 lbs. lineman running at you as in a game, but the kid has a bright future.
