I've experienced it as a coach and player so I would say they are feeling amazing.

Both years I feel like LCA has outplayed the Tigers, but the tigers stepped up when it matters. Would have liked to see beechwood open up the playbook a little bit more. I feel like they relied on the QB run a little too much which minimized their scoring in the second half. Overall, heck of a season by the tigers this year — Rash’s first undefeated season. Still shocked at how well mitchell and parker were able to play given their health. I think Beechwood did a fantastic job against Brown. Every handoff to him was like a party at the rock….. and all tiger defenders were invited. 

Fun game to watch.  Tale of two halves.  Who would have thought a FG was all BW would get in the 2nd half to seal the game.  Between last year and this year, you couldln't pick two teams that are more even than these two.  Congrats to both teams on stellar seasons.

Yeah and I get that.  Hopefully it's a point of emphasis for them next season.  Can't say it cost them a championship but it certainly didn't win them one.

It is normally several teams every year.

I agree.  Only a handful of teams I can think of as having great special teams play. But if I step back and look at it, it's the teams loaded with talent that don't tend to utilize it. Minus Trinity. 

My favorite part was when Hergott said "...we're just a blue-collar team..."

Congrats Tigers! Just think if it wasn’t for Mayfield Beechwood would be close to Trinity for the most state titles in the state.

How many times has Mayfield beaten Beechwood in the playoffs? ...I honestly have no clue.

This year's championship makes the Tigers' 16th state title in 90 seasons of football, and the Rocks are currently at 27 state titles in 68 seasons of football.

Let me rephrase that since I didn’t know Trinity had that Many. We would be right up there with Highlands had it not been for Mayfield. 

Beechwood has now beaten LCA in the State Championship 3 times, by a combined 6 points!!!

2007 Class A Finals - 38-35

2020 Class AA Finals - 24-23

2021 Class AA Finals - 23-21

 

Was out of town and didn't get a chance to give Beechwood fans on here my congrats until now.  Congrats, perfect season.
