I'm not sure. Last year Elder had pay-to-play video broadcasts, but I'm not sure about this year.

I love the optimism, man. It's a crucial ingredient in the recipe for success. If you don't believe in yourself, how can you expect anyone else to? If the young men inside the visitor's locker room this Friday night share that belief, something special could fill the air around The Pit and fuel CovCath to victory. It all starts within.

Now, having said that.... I'm going to scroll back to the top of the page and pick Elder to win the game, because when in doubt, pick the GCL South.

I'm not much for luck, so I'll wish the Blue Colonels good fortune this weekend and hope they prove me, and a lot of others, wrong.

Did any of the Elder campers mention they struggled mightily trying to stop Lakota West in the scrimmage last week. That may say more about the Firehawks than the Panthers though. 

I know back in the early/mid 1990s the Colonels beat Moeller and recently a couple wins over LaSalle.  Other than that, they have not faired well against the GCL.  I hope the Colonels can walk out with a victory, but I think Elder wins this one.

From what I understand St. X & West are loaded. That's why they are 1 & 2. Ramsey will try to establish the run and throw when needed. Elder’s QB and Ramseys son are very good athletes. The CCH Def will have it's hands full. They will need some luck & turnovers. 
 

Covcath with the upset.

The Cincinnati Enquirer is listing this game as 1 of the 10 best in SW Ohio this season.

Massey ratings have it Elder 42-14. I think it will be closer than that.

They did, yeah. That was basically the gist of the conversation. I didn't take it so much as them saying they thought they were going to crush Cov Cath as much as it was more them saying, "Oh trust us, we're gonna score on you...but that doesn't mean you won't have a chance of scoring more on us."

Go Colonels!

Im going with the Colonels in this one but I am voting with my heart and not my head...  Elder has a full offensive squad and a full defensive squad.  I think conditioning might work against us in this one as CCH will be playing several key players both ways.  Gonna be close in the first half but it will be very tough to be competitive the full game in the Pit. Running back for Elder is super quick and fast and makes people miss.  QB has a good arm and seems to make good decisions when he has time to throw.

I just verified with with Elder's athletic department, there will be broadcasts of the game. Links will be posted on ehsports.com on Friday.
