Like all great players, they have the hugest egos and competive mindset of any other player. Reminds me of Tiger Woods never acknowledging Vijay Singh when he passed them him in the world rankings but would not relinquish the "best golfer in the world" title. He was truthful in his remarks (as I am sure he hears the same thing every day), but should have kept it to himself.

I think I heard Mike and Mike say that Kobe said that Gilbert had "no conscience" with some of the shots he was taking. If thats not the pot calling the kettle black...

The first comment is a shot at the refs... clearly.

 

The second is dead on but it's not his place to say anything.

 

Overall I wouldn't say he "downed" it too much.
