December 19, 200619 yr Hahahaha, just when I was actually starting to like Kobe a little bit, he goes and says something like this. Now I remember why I dont like this guy at all. He has no room to talk about shot selection, and calling someone else's shots terrible shots when he has probably taken more of them than Arenas' will take in his lifetime...

What he said was probably true, but he could have gone about it a little more tactfully. In any case, it's not much to get up in arms about... ...I would guess people are frustrated because Kobe hasn't given them any room to criticize him this year, so they'll take whatever they can get. Even if it's a reach. The Lakers have one of the best records in the league, so you can't criticize that. Kobe has become more of a "team" player getting everyone involved...can't criticize that. He's become much more efficient with his shot selection...check. So, we'll find a little comment after a game and tear him down for it...:thumb:

But then he goes and says something like this, which there was no reason for him to say it, because Kobe does what he critized Areanas for more than anyone in the game does. I thought Kobe had started to change, and well this comment just shows me that yeah maybe his game on the floor has changed, but he is still the same guy that has made me always dislike him...

Because of WHAT YOU(KOBE in this case) DID, you will have to work harder and take more time to earn their good graces back.

It doesn't change my opinion that in this case, there isn't much of a story, other than people that already don't like Kobe and aren't going to like him just wanting something to rip on him about.

Washington shot 60 free throws and made 47. Bryant added, "Some of the shots he took tonight, you miss those, they're just terrible shots, just awful. You make them and they're unbelievable shots." I don't think Kobe's one to talk about someone taking bad shots! Should have been a standup guy and said Arenas just outplayed him tonight and he put up a good fight. I mean is Kobe that bad that he can't take the fact that he isn't a great defensive player and it's not the end of the world if someone scores that many points? This coming from a guy that was 17-38 from the field a few nights ago.
