B-Ball-fan
The Grant County Braves traveled to Walton with their sights set on victory, and they had themselves positioned to do so practically the whole game, but it just wasn’t to be. Grant Co took a 20-15 first quarter lead, and played marvelously in the 2nd quarter extending their lead to 36-22 by halftime. Walton scratched their way back bucket by bucket, finally going ahead 43-42 with about 2 minutes left in the 3rd, and it was all knotted up at the end of the 3rd 47 all. The 4th quarter saw both teams trading baskets, and with just seconds on the clock, game tied at 67 and Walton with the ball they tossed in a bucket from about the foul line, and Grant Co. had no chance but to try to toss one full court that wasn’t even close, end of game Walton 69-67. Woodsman
Great game. Great shot at end for the win by Walton. Huge play At the end of 3rd quarter with a very questionable call. Would love to see the replay. Grant had a player run through a screen while another player for Walton was shooting a 3. Player sitting screen was hit and on ground before shot. There was a lot of debate and Basket was called good. Pretty well called game but that really set the tone for rest of game. Young Braves are seeing glimpses of being really good but can’t find the way to win.
