If they are asking for lesson plans in round 4, I can't see them getting a top notch choice.  I'm not saying there aren't good coaches that are effective teachers in the classroom, but many of the high profile guys are not teaching a full workload all day.  There are plenty of jobs in school systems designed for coaches (I.E. ISS, Credit Recovery, Weightlifting etc.)

Sadly, the local press is all but non-existent in Danville now. The only writer for the Advocate-Messenger appears to be Mike Marsee, who actually left the job several years ago to work full time in a different field. He is also stringing articles for them. I think he's all they've got. Losing the paper has been an huge negative for Boyle, Garrard, Lincoln, Mercer, and Casey Counties.

Yeah, the Advocate took away their local sports coverage, which always struck me as a dumb decision since a lot of people kept the paper for that content.  When they got rid of/parted ways with Larry Vaught that was the sign it was all over.  And the Advocate also fell into the trap of a lot of local papers of declining readership so they cut content and the decline in content triggered more cancellations and more declining readership.

Any mention, discussion, and media regarding politics or political figures is expressly prohibited on BluegrassPreps. Similarly, high school and college/university administrators and officials, when discussed in a strictly non-political manner, are all permissible on BGP.

I think they community would’ve gotten behind Dennis Johnson more then they would Peach because of his local ties.
