The community buys in to the program.  When you refer to a 3rd grade flag football team as future state champions, it puts that expectation and goal in the minds of those kids. Having a single middle

Boyle would give a few college teams a run for the money!

No they wouldn't.

I think this may say more about Hopkinsville than it does Boyle as Hopkinsville was a very Jekyll and Hyde team all year that got this far in the playoffs because of a weak draw in my opinion.

Hopkinsville started off slow like others did across the state. Once they started playing every week they started to jell.  I think Boyle is the class team in this division and it really has no bearing On Hopkinsville as they had a great season

I wouldn’t say that. Boyle County has beaten a lot of big name teams the same exact way. They are the Class of 4A.

Boyle County is the best in 4A and I will be shocked if they don't win the title next week.  But Franklin County is on fire and has the ingredients to beat them.

Hopkinsville was solid team that benefitted from playing in a weak district and defeated a mediocre John Hardin team that played in an even weaker district.

I would say the Top 5 in 4A this year were

1.) Boyle

2.) Franklin County

3.) Johnson Central

4.) Corbin

5.) Lex Cath

We shall see if you think they will beat FC that way you are going to be surprised.

Maybe so. I’d say they beat FC but FC is a top notch team. I don’t think they blow them out though.

My only comment about Hoptown that might be considered negative would be this.  From the first series they were on offense they had players walking back to the huddle and had coaches and other players yelling from the sideline to not walk back to the huddle.  It wasn't one player is was 3-5 different ones on each play.  At no time did anyone who was walking stop walking and start jogging, nor at any time did anyone get pulled from the game for not jogging back to the huddle.  This may not seem like a very big deal to some, and all coaching staffs do things differently.  Some keep things very loose and some run a very tight ship.  All I know is that it was yelled almost every play when they were on offense and nobody ever stopped walking.  I will add that they did not seem totally undisciplined.  Nobody was playing dirty.  Nobody was mouthing back to their coaches.  They seemed frustrated at how the game was going but who wouldn't be.  I'm sorry but that just speaks volumes to me.
