I think BG's injuries and rigorous schedule continues to catch up to them and they lose this one.

17-10 McCracken County 

I think it was an eye opener against SW that they need to open up the Playbook. They kept running the same plays over, and over, and over! Not until the last drive did they let the kids throw some. Cooper has to get some confident receivers that he can trust. Losing Wilson really took away a lot for him. A few of those balls he threw last night, Wilson would have caught. I think Their first game without Wilson is under their belt now and they know what needs to be worked on. I can see them moving some skilled defensive players to the offense side. Without Wilson, SW only doubled Dingle and put someone on Bunton and Cooper. That took away their offense. 
I have to say, the play calling hasn’t been as aggressive as it was against St. X. The Offensive coordinator is being way to conservative for a Championship caliber team. They threw the ball all over the field against St. X.  Maybe ran a handful of pass plays last night. That’s a shame! 
I believe they’ll come out hungry for McCracken and work some kinks out on Offense. Someone has to step up and help Dingle, Bunton, and Cooper. Along with the coaches giving them the chance to win with great play calling. 
I’m looking forward to a great game next Friday!

Both teams are strong defending the rush. McCracken hasn’t faced this strong a team this season. The Mustangs are use to putting up a lot of points. If Hunter Bradley has a good game, the Mustangs have a real shot.

Depends on the score of this game I would say. 

The Purples come into this game pretty bruised up from injuries to egos after falling to South Warren 10 to 7 last Friday night in an exciting defensive gem. 

For BG, it's time to get back to basics and return to the football they started the season with. Up until the last series of the South Warren game, it just felt that BG (offensively predominantly, as the defense was very strong and kept them in the game) was playing tight.  Of course, a very good defense like South Warren's will make that happen.  If they do that against McCracken County, it will be another long night.

McCracken County comes into this game pounding one of their biggest district rivals Daviess County 56-22.  SR RB Hunter Bradley is in consideration for Mr. Football for good reason - he's earned it.  He had 331 yards on 19 carries against Daviess County with 5 TDs.  The young man is a special talent!  His offensive line is very skilled as well.  They have a good young QB in SO Pryor Lamb.  But he is only a Sophomore.  And if BG could neutralize the run; I think that's alot to put on the young QB.  But he is talented.  

Defensively, JR DL LeAndre Bolen is one of the better players in Western KY that you likely don't know.  He has at least 4 sacks on the year and a pick 6 against Mayfield (as a down lineman).  Also JR LB Isaiah Keys is a good one and their tackling machine in the middle.  

I've always been a big Coach Marc Clark fan.  When he was at Hoptown, he just couldn't get "in-sync" with the Hoptown Football community, but I think he's there in the Mustang Football Community.  His teams play hard and they are a program on the rise, in my opinion.

Back to BG, defensively who's out and who's in due to injuries?  I don't know and it's likely undetermined until later this week.  But to play a team like McCracken with a star RB like Bradley, you need an effort similar to the South Warren game.  And if you don't think McCracken throws about 100 bubble screens - you're crazy!  Work on this!

Offensively, if you are just going to line up and run the ball all night, tell me now as I'm staying in Louisville.  If you are bringing back the balanced attack from the St X game, then I'm in.  All know Dez Wilson is a big loss for BG, but you have to get creative and use what you have.  An example; use your back up RB JR Matrix Halcomb in the slot some.  He has good speed and would be a nice change of pace right now.  Give him a chance.  Also JR WR Will Vale has impressed me.  He made a BIG catch against St X when BG needed it.  He made a HUGE catch late in the 4th Quarter against South Warren.  A 45 yarder that finally put BG in scoring position.  He needs more balls thrown his way.  

Prediction:  Wow, my mind is all over the place on this game.  Not knowing who's in and out makes it difficult.  I picked BG above, but I do that regardless.  I think because of where this game falls, because of BGs injuries, because of McCracken coming in playing very well and confident that I find this game another "Pick'em" game.  I could make an argument for both teams and somewhat have above.  If BG is going to make noise later this season, I think they need to rise up and win this game at home is the bottom line.  For McCracken County, I feel they are playing on house money.  Not many expect them to win this game at BG.  But they can win this game and I think they believe that and will play like that on Friday night.  I expect a hard hitting and well played game from both teams.  Penalties, turnovers, and the kicking game really weren't a huge factor in the BG vs South Warren game - does that change in this game?

Last year's game was 42-14 BG, with BG getting about 500 yards of offense, but McCracken had about 450 yards.  A big note:  Bradley was out that game.  Gone from that crew are Elijah Wheat an outstanding QB and Frankliin Hayes, the best WR in the state IMHO (who had 150+ yards and 2 TD's last year)  Back to Bradly:  He is by far the toughest runner I have seen last year or this year.  McCracken has outstanding O- and D-lines from what I've seen, BUT so does BG.  And while Daviess County does have a good offense, their defense is lacking and they play some guys both ways - so don't expect another 300+ yard night from Bradley.

I am extremely impressed by the play design (last year and this year) from McCracken County, but I think they are limited in the passing game.  Last year's QB was very experienced and could hit almost any pass (it helps when you have Franklin Hayes though).  What I saw from Lamb was good passes, but they were very strategic in nature and nothing real deep.  They were mostly short and intermediate routes and the plays were designed to fool you.  I don't think BG gets fooled as much on those passes.  I think BG will focus on the run defense and make the QB beat them.  While Bradley will flat run over you and is plenty fast, BG SHOULDN'T give up the big play as it's defensive speed should stop a 40-50 yard TD run.  I think the Mustangs can and will move the ball, but I think they will have a hard time scoring.  Last year's Mustang defense was average at best and while they are alot better, I think the purples have the athleticism to put some points on the Board.  I think this will be lower scoring.

I remember that game vividly last year. Huge crowd at McCracken County. I believe MC was up 14-0 and then BG did a QB change and they never looked back. Cooper came in and shook the game. I don’t believe McCracken scored again. It was an exciting game! 
I agree.. Wilson is out.. so coaches.. whatcha gonna do? They tried running the ball 80% of the time last Friday. It didn’t work against great defenses. And why? When you have the talent to mix it up!! I think they have some extremely skilled defensive players that you may see running routes this Friday! They have to give Cooper targets to throw to other than Dingle. No way he can throw to him with double/triple coverage. 
Not sure if Gurley is back or not! I’ll do some digging and find out. Fingers crossed he is. BG needs him. I think BG has to get back to the basics! Equal passing and running plays. This team CAN do that!
